Despite the game doing a fairly decent job in tying up loose ends, there are still a few lingꦆering questions that remain after you finish Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. It remains to be seen if the game will get a sequel, but based on the widespread praise Eidos-Montreal has received, it’s almost a forgone conclusion that we’ll see these heroes again. So, some of these questions might get addressed later on down the road, but for now, we’re still a bit confuzzled on a number of things.

9 What A෴bout The Other Infinity Stones? 𒁏
The In𒆙finity Stones have been a staple in Marvel history for quite some time, and for good reason. These six stones possess unimaginable power that can affect the whole of reality. When🐼 exploring the Quarantine Zone at the beginning of the game, it appears that Star-Lord, Rocket, and Groot stumble upon the Soul Stone. After interacting with it, a purplish being emerges. It turns out that being was Magus, who was trapped inside the stone.
Mantis later confirms that it was, in fact, the Soul Stone, and mentions it’s “one of the ancient six.” So, where are the other Infinity Stones? If you took the time to walk through the Collector’s Emporium, you’d see that he holds the Cosmic Cube, which is actually the Space St📖one. The other Infinity Stones aren&🏅rsquo;t mentioned at all, and given that Thanos seemingly waged a galactic war, it’s interesting that he didn’t try finding the stones on his quest to please Lady Death.
8 🐬 What Was The Galactic War?
It’s revealed that events leading up to Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy w༒eren’t necessarily pleasant ones. The game starts 12 years after a galactic war raged through the cosmos, leaving the galaxy hurting on all levels. The Nova Corps has been hit hard but i𝕴s in the process of rebuilding its ranks and protecting the galaxy.
There are bits and pieces of wh꧒at exactly the galactic war was all about, but it’s never explicitly explained. We can assume that Thanos was the main adversary, as his alleged death at the hands of Drax the Destroyer was a key turning point for the Resistance. But was it simply Thanos wanting to destroy the universe in the name of Lady Death? And who, other than his Black Order, helped him on his conquest?
7 🐟 Is Thanos Dead?
A major turning point in the galactic war for the Resistance was the breaking news of the death of Thanos. It was reported that following t💮he brutal murders of his wife and daughter, Drax the Destroyer scoured the galaxy for the Mad Titan and killed him in battle. This news breathed new life in the Resistance and prompted many to join their cause and win the war.
But is T🃏hanos really dead? During a touching moment on Knowhere, Drax tells Peter that he found Thanos’s location by drinking a potion and “feeling” his presence among the stars. After Drax was told that he seemingly killed the Mad Titan before falling unconscious, he says that he can still feel Thanos out there. It would be a shame for one of Marvel’s biggest villains to have been killed offscreen, so hopefully, the Resistance just spun the news in their favor, and Thanos is hiding somewhere and rebuilding his strength.
6 How Can The Guardians Huddඣle Up? 🌺
First, we want you to understand that we understand that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is a video game and there are certain &ldq🦩uo;video game-y” things that you just don’t question. But how exactly can Peter Quill basically call a timeout on the battlefield and give a quick pep-talk to his team during a Huddle Up?
A Huddle Up is when Star-Lord calls the other guardians together with his speech usually giving ไthem a boost in battle. So, do the enemies tꦺhat the guardians are fighting simply stop attacking, maybe check their ammo supply, and wait until they get the all-clear sign to resume shooting? It’s a silly thing that can only be explained by it being a video game, but something that still seemed puzzling.
5 What Did The Guardia🅘ns See For Their Promise?
To put it simply, the Church of Truth brainwa🧸shes people to convert them and steal their Faith energy. They’re shown something that’s personal to them, something that they desire, and that convinces them to join the Church’s cause in pursuit of the Promise, which is an event that will supposedly make their desires come true.
Grand Unifier Raker fails to convert the Guardians, except Drax, and of course, the team goes on to stop the Church of Truth. We know what Drax saw for his Promise — the return of his beloved wife and daughter — but what about the other guardians? Peter’s vision was the resurrection of his own mother when the Chitauri killed her on his birthday and Gamora reveals her Promise was Nebula being aliv🅘e. It wasn’t revealed what Rocket or Groot saw for their Promise, so we can only assume it dealt with Rocket’s experimentation and Groot not being the last of his kind.
4 What Is Faith Energ🤪y? ౠ
After converting Hala’s Hope, Grand Unifier Raker is equipped to start manipulating people on a planetary scale. The Church of Truth develops a cannon that’s able to convert entire planets and extract Faith energy. This energy is used to power up Raker and Nikki with unbelievable levels of strength, d♉urability, speed, and flight.
But what exactly is Faith energy? How is it calculated and used in a physical sense? It’s not magic or power that c𝄹ame from an outside object. And if Faith energy gives Raker these kinds of abilities, why don’t the people who have this energy stolen from them display these abilities? The concept of Faith energy wasn’t explained very well, and given that the Church was ultimately defeated, it seems like we just have to accept that Raker could turn people’s beliefs into literal power and they themselves could not.
3 ✅ Is The Continuum Cortex🍒 The Gateway To The Multiverse?
After Star-Lord and the guardians explain the grave situation to Cosmo on Knowhere, the head of security tꦕasks the team with a simple mission: taking down the Church of Truth. Cosmo sends the Guardians of the Galaxy through the Continuum Cortex, a device that transports you anywhere — and not just anywhere in the known universe, but seemingly anywhere in the multiverse.
During the journey through the cortꦿex, Peter and the guardians can hear some rather interesting things coming from other portals. There’s one that sounds like Captain America exclaiming “Avengers Assemble” and another hinting at Spider-Man. Could the Continuum Cortex be a gateway to the overarching multiverse? Marvel and Square Enix could be on the precipice of creating their own multiverse on the games side with the Continuum Cortex acti♐ng as the connection between the Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers, Spider-Man, and other future projects.
2 🧸 What Is The Purpose Of T🔯he Shower Scene?
Before and after most missions, Peter Quill can spend some time exploring the Milano and engaging in small talk with the other guardians. For most of the game, Peter wil🌠l mention how he doesn’t have time to brush his teeth, which is a good thing because Rocket uses his toothbrush to clean his tools and Drax uses it for scrubbing his head.
But at a later point in the game, Peter actually takes a shower. It’s not just a quick game animation, but ꦓa full-on cut scene that shows him scrub-a-dubbing and then coming out fresh and clean. There’s no dialogue or any importance behind the shower, so what was the point? Insert Cardi B’s “wh🍎at was the reason?” gif here.
1 🌺 Where Does Star-Lord Get Batteries For His Walkman?
One of the fascinating things about Peter Quill is his love for music, but not just any music — mostly Earth music from the 1980s. It makes sense why he’d continue to rock out to those oldies, given that he was only 13 when he w꧋as abducted from Earth and the bands he listens to were among the most popular during that time. You’d imagine there are plenty of high-tech music gadgets out in space, but he chooses to keep rocking with the old-school Walkman. But can someone explain how he finds batteries for it?
It wasn’t until the mid-2000s when the iPods were released that we experienced music devices that didn’t require batteries. Even CD players before them still needed a couple of AA batteries to power up. So, where is Peter finding batteries for his Walkman? Does he have a black market dealer who specializes in Duracell supply?🤪 Or maybe, Rocket modified the cassette player to run on another form of power? Given how often Peter uses it in battle with the Huddle Up feature, whatever’s powering the Walkman must be extremely strong.
