Unlocking 'Coalescence I: Unbridled'
To unlock the achievement, you just need to successfully take down any raid boss. Once that's done, you can start collecting the items.
Crafting The Meditation Logbook
The first thing to put together is a Meditation Logbook by combiningꦬ the following ingredient🐬s in the Mystic Forge:
- Transcendental Binding (x1)
- Transcendental Ink (x1)
- Transcendental Parchment (x1)
- Pulsing Branspark (x100)
Meditation Logbook Ingredient |
How To Obtain It |
---|---|
Transcendental Binding |
After defeating the boss in the 'Hall of Chains' raid, look for a hidden chest on the hill which is north of Desmina's platform. |
Transcendental Ink |
In the 'Hall of Chains' raid, there's a hidden chest to be found on a cliff, north of the frozen lake. |
Transcendental Parchment |
This one is easier to track down; it's in a hidden chest again, but it's right behind Dhuum's throne. You can get it after fully completing the raid. |
Pulsing Brandspark |
Pulsing Brandsparks are a Rare-level crafting material, and they can be obtained from lots of sources, including from enemies in the Crystal Desert and inside certain containers. The easiest way to obtain them, though, is just to buy them from another player on the Trading Post. |
Meditation Logs
Once you've combined all those items to get your Meditation Logbook, you'll start - surprise surprise - logging memories.
Make sure you have the Meditation Logbook in your inventory and go to the places detailed below. At each location, you need to type "/sit" into chat to use the Sit emote. You'll receive the 'Meditative Rest' effect - don't move until the 'Meditative Rest' effect has worn off.

Component 3: Gift Of Compassion
The Gift of Compassion is made by combining the following items in the Mystic Forge:
- Gift of Desert Mastery (x1)
- Ball of Dark Energy (x6)
- Gift of Complex Emotions (x1)
- Legendary Insight (x150)
How To Get A Gift Of Desert Mastery
A Gift of Desert Mastery is obtained by combining four items in the Mystic Forge:
- Gift of the Desert (x1)
- Gift of the Rider (x1)
- Bloodstone Shard (x1)
- Funerary Incense (x250)
Ingredient For Gift Of Desert Mastery |
How To Obtain |
---|---|
Gift of the Desert |
Combine these items in the Mystic Forge to make the Gift of the Desert:
Each of those gifts are obtaine🌠d by first getting map completion on the respective Path of Fire map, then purchasing the Gift for 23,331 Karma each from a Renown Heart Vendor in that map. |
Gift of the Rider |
Combine these items in the Mystic Forge to make the Gift of Venom:
To get th🤪ose Spirit items, you need to first max out the Mastery track for each of the respective mounts. Then, you can purchase the Spirit item from the Renown Heart vendor where you first learned to ride that mount. |
Bloodstone Shard |
Bloodstone Shards can be bought from the Mystic Forge attendants; the easiest one to find is Miyani, who stands next to the Mystic Forge in Lion's Arch. Each Bloodstone Shard costs 200 Spirit Shards. |
Funerary Incense |
Funerary Incenses can be obtained from two types of vendors:
|
How To Get Balls Of Dark Energy
Balls of Dark Energy are an ascended crafting material. Unfortunately, they can't be purchased from other players. They can only be acquired by using an Ascended Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool on an Ascended item.
You're guaranteed to get a Ball of Dark Energy when salvaging Ascended weapons and armor, but salvaging any other type of Ascended🍒 gear has only a very low chance of yielding it.
How To Get A Gift Of Complex Emotions
The Gift of Complex Emotions is received upon completing the second achievement: 'Coalescence II: The Gift.' It's unlocked upon completing the first Coalescence achievement.
The first item to acquire for this achievement is the Alembic Apparatus. It must be purchased from a vendor in the Mythwright Gambit raid: Scholar Glenna. The cost is 100 Magne🉐tite Shards and 10 gold. Magnetite Shards are earned during raids by killing the bosses and participating in the events.
Once you have it, you need to 🌜find and fi✨ll a collection of bottles.

How To Get Legendary Insights
Legendary Insights are a type of currency that you get from:
- participating in raids
- finishing the Cantha Strikes weekly achievement
- completing the End of Dragons Strike Missions while the challenge mode is active
Component 4: Gift Of Patience
The final component is acquired through the third achievement: 'Coalescence III: Culmination.' You unlock theܫ achievement by completing the second one.
To start, you need to collect your old Meditation Logbook from Hasara. He's found in the Desolation this time, where you previously meditated (image below).
Then, there are three Twisted Essences to collect:

Once you have all of those items in your inventory, go to the Sunspear Sanctuary (in the Yahnur Plateau area in the Domain of Vabbi) and interact with the 'Strange Energy' (which is right in front of the statue of Kormir). This will give you the purified versions of all those essences, as well as the Infused Meditation Log Book. The achievement is finished now, and you have the Gift of Patience!
Crafting Coalescence
Once you have collected all of these items...
- Mystic Tribute (x1)
- Gift of Compassion (x1)
- Gift of Patience (x1)
- Hateful Sworl (x1)
...go to the Mystic Forge to combine them all and finally craft Coalescence!
You'll notice that your character gets a slight effect when you wear this ring. It's actually one part of a three-part effect, and each part activates depending on the number of accessories you have equipped: Aurora, Coalescence, and/or Vision. Those effects (plus a few others) are depicted above!
