P.T. was a demo developed by Kojima Productions in collaboration with director Guillermo del Toro (Pacific Rim, Blade 2, Pinnochio) and Norman Reedus, advertising the cancelled Silent Hills game. Despite it being critically renowned and beloved by fans, Konami 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:removed it from the PlayStation Store and made it impossible to reinstall. But Guillermo del Toℱro is still fighting🎉 for Konami to make it playable again nearly ten years later.

On August 12, The Game Awards' official Twitter account posted about the nine-year anniversary of the demo, which was initially announced at Gamescom. Del Toro retweeted a day later with the caption, "Ah... Konami... What sayeth thou? Irrumabo Konamitus".

Silent Hills was cancelled in 2015 after Hideo Kojima and Konami fell out, leaving P.T. behind as the only glimpse into what a Kojima-developed 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Silent Hill project would look like. The only way to access it today is either via watching it on YouTube or by hacking or jailbreaking your PS4. That's unless you're willing to convince a collector to part with their account, which won't be cheap. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PS4 emulators are in the works and may circu💃mvent a lot of the hassle for PC players, but these toolkits are still in the early development phase.

This isn't the first time that del Toro has commented on Silent Hills' cancellation and the pulling of P.T. from the PS Store. Back in 2016, he quote retweeted The Game Awards' post sharing a 4K clip of the "world premiere" of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Death Stranding with the caption, "FUCK KONAMI". Pretty clear what ꦫhis feelings are on the subject, eh?

After Silent Hills' cancellation, the series lay dormant and was presumed dead. However, there is now a slew of games in the works from all different studios. The Medium developer Bloober Team is wo✱rking on aꦬ Silent Hill 2 remake, while No Code Studios is developing a game called Townfall, GenVid Technologies is making an interactive series called Ascension--168澳洲幸运5开奖网:which isn't going down too well with fans--and NeoBards Entertainment is working on a '60s Japanese Silent Hill simply called 'f'.

With four Silent Hill projects in the works, who knows? Maybe P.T. will make its way back to the PS Store. Silent Hills, however... I wouldn't hold my breath.

Granted, Kojima and del Toro didn't cut ties when Konami decided to. The two collaborated again in Death Stranding, with del Toro lending his likeness to Deadman, voiced by Jesse Corti. When one door closes... a confusing new beloved genre opens?
