Arcades may be a distant relic of the past for most of the United States, but they are still a hot commodity over in Japan. While not every modern fighter has an arcade version (Street Fighter V and Mortal Kombat 11 are the most notable), there's a decent amount of newer games that ported to coin-op machines. One such game will be the upcoming 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Guilty Gear Strive, which is set for re🍒lease on PS4 sometime this year🐻.
Developer Arc System Works made the announcement today and confirmed that the distribution of the title would be ⛎handled by ALL.Net P-ras. A digital system that allows arcades to download titles to different cabinets, this system will ensure that Arc can make constant updates tജo the game and not have to reissue machines at regular intervals.
If you happen to live in Japan, a playable demo of this arcade port will be running on February 7 and 8 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan for the Amusement Expo 2020. There's no information about which characters will be available, though this will likely be the same demo comingꩲ to Japan EVO.
News of this arcade version comes just days after Arc unveiled a redesign o🌠f Faust. A veteran of the series, Faust is one of the mo🔯re unique characters from the franchise. Taking the form of a demonic doctor, he's got incredible reach and some spooky moves that will put unaware opponents in their place.
With only one new character being introduced so far, it seems Strive is set to be more a reboot of the series than a completely new sequel. With many still unaware of past installments, this isn't the worst thing. A new engine and a major push from Arc will give Guilty Gear more recognition and hopefully bring it toe-to-toe with the likes of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.
That's probably being too optimistic, but Guilty Gear has always been a quality game. Arc is one of the more problematic when it comes to DLC practices, but its core fighting engines are very engaging. If you can get past all of the various add-ons and re-releases, Guilty Gear is a blast.
