Revealed this past weekend alo♒ngside two new characters, the fighter will be available in three different editions when it hits store shelves. The expected "Standard" edition will include just the game for $59.99 on each platform. A "Deluxe" edition comes with the game and its first season pass for $84.99, which knocks $5 off the price ofജ the season pass (which is separately available for $29.99). You'll also be able to play three days early on April 6, 2021.
For mega fans, the "Ultimate Edition" is what you'll want to grab. Including the contents of the Deluxe version -and its earlier access-, for $99.99, you ge⛄t a dꦡigital soundtrack and artbook, special edition colors for each character, the pre-order bonus of colors for Sol and Ky, and a premium box with a "heavy metal game case" for the PS5 physical edition. It's not too bad of a deal if you're into that kind of thing.
As for the new characters, Arc System Works introduced both Giovanna and Anji Mito during a Livestream yesterday. Giovanna is completely new, making her debut in this gam♔e. She appears to be a mixture of a rushdown character with some ranged attacks. Acco✃mpanying her into battle is a green wolf spirit that can potentially mess up your day.
, on the other hand, has been in the Guilty Gear series for yearꦚs now. His unveiling wasn't surprising, but more a reassurance that veteran fans won't be left in the cold. With the inclusion of ꦦthese two characters, the base roster for -Strive- seems to be set for 15-ish characters. That is relatively small, but the cast is very diverse.
Thus far, there has been no mention of whether or not PS4 users will be receiving an upgrade to the PS5 version. C🐼onsidering the game is coming out wel💮l after the release of the PS5, I'm going to assume that won't be the case. PS5 units should be more plentiful by April and anyone that is sticking with PS4 is likely not going to want to upgrade.
