The Argent Skull has several playstyles, depending on your boons and upgrades. Generally, you use normal attacks until you run out of Shells and then use your special or special omega to grab the Shells back.

Most of your damage will come from the normal attacks, but you can do some great burst damage with your special omegas. Your attack omega isn't as efficient as your special omega because it uses up one Shell.🐼 If you have any upgrades for your attacks, your priorities will definitely change.

Argent Skull Moves

The Argent Skull moveset requires you to be much more precise and conservative. The micromanaging of the Shell ammunition can already repel a few players from picking up the weapon, but things do get easier when you🦩 get more upgrades.

The moves are all pretty straightforward. You are throwing Shells that do a lot of damage, but require you to pick them up. Your special helps you pick๊ them up by provi🐟ding mobility.

All Omega Moves are there to scale up your damage output at the cost of Magick, and they are all♊ dependent on the boons and upgrades you receive during your run.

Argent Skull Aspects

Aspects play a huge role in using the Argent Skull weapon. The default aspect, Melinoe, doesn't force you to do anything different, which is great for beginners trying to learn the playstyle. The most eye-catching would be the Aspect of Persephone. There's a lot of value that can be added to your omega special such as the Twisting Crash Daedalus upgrade that lets the projectiles or waves fire again in your direction. If you add Melti💫ng 𒊎Tackle and some God boons to add more damage or even freeze effects, your build gets unbelievably powerful.

Argent Skull Boon And Daedalus Hammer Builds

Since there is no way to predict what boons and Daedalus Hammer upgrades you'll get through your runs, you should look at particular combinations that work well together. In a way, these are "mini-builds" that you could consider going for when getting a💝 chance to chꦦoose among which God boon and boon effects.

Omega Special Build

• Aspect of Persephone

Building around the Argent Skull's omega special is one of the most fun builds in Hades 2. However, it requires a ton of Magick recovery to sustain. There are only a few boons that could help you sustain this Magick-heavy build. Even the Unseen arcana card that gives two Magick every second iཧsn't enough to sustain the build.

For Magick sustain, you either want Apollo's Lucid Gain, Poseidon's Fluid Gain, or Hestia's Hearth Gain boon. These boons will help you sustain enough Magick that you can spam your omega special non-stop. However, if 🌜you get the Hearth Gain, you might need to get more HP.

Lucid Gain needs some micromanaging since you need to use a cast and stand on it to regain Magick. Since you are going to use cast most of the time, you should also add some cast boon effects like Aphrodite's Rapture Ring.

Once you set up the Magick sustain, your goal is to amplify your damage. The best damage amp would come from Aphrodite's Flutter Flourish since your damage is already𒅌 considered close-up damage because you are rushing into the enemies.

You can add some effects such as Demeter's Ice Flourish that inflicts freeze on enemies hit. Freezing targets adds a lot of survivability to the bu🗹ild because y🎀ou are incredibly squishy when you are dashing toward the enemies.

If it doesn't show up, you can use Demeter's Ice Strike and mix in some attacks to freeze the target before diving in. These freezes are important, especially ag༒ainst armored foes because they don't stagger when they take damage.

For Daedalus Hammers, you are looking for anything that buffs up your specials. Sidelong Crash practically doubles your damage output, but the projectiles only shoot from one side. The best upgrade would be Twisting Crash and Colossus Tackle.

Try to add effects such as hitch, w♑eak, and freeze to your attacks and casts rather than your special. Since most boons have effects, applying them to your specials can overlap future boons in the﷽ future.

Attack Build

• Aspect of Melinoe or Aspect of Medea

For attacks, you have two options – normal attack or omega attack builds. Both are heavily reliant on the Daedalus Hammer to fully commit to the build, so it might take some luck to 🐠get whaꦡt you need.

In a normal attack build, you are looking for the Bolstered Array, which grants an additional two Shells. These Shells help you juggle more attacks, especially against single targets. Since the build is mediocre at best when dealing against s﷽ingle targets, you need all the boost you can get.

The two extra Shells are also usefu🐲l for🥀 omega attack build.

Apart from this Daedalus Hammer upgrade, you also want the Fetching Array. With this upgrade, your Shells automatically return to you, but you lose one Shell. So,♓ if you only have the choice of getting one, you should get the additional Shells first🤡. Once you have both, you'll start burning all the enemies, whether it is a single target or a pack of enemies.

For your boons, you want Zeus's Heaven Strike or Hestia's Flame Strike to add Scorch or Blitz. Depending on what you choose, you want to stack the damage while applying as many debuffs on the enemies. You can add your freeze effects on your special since y🌼ou'll be using this to move around.

If you want to spam your omega attacks, you will need the Rocket Bombard Daedalus upgrade which lets your omega attack fire in a straight line instead of falling vertically to the ground. Apart from that Daedalus upgrade, you are roughly looking at the same boons mentioned aboveও.
