We also get to see a lot of combat in the stream, which is understandable given that's what you'll spend the majority of your time doing in the game. While those who have played the first Hades will find it extremely similar to the first game, Supergiant has added so many more Boons and skills to play around with. For starters, Melinoe can wield magic thanks to her status as a witch, and can utilize a variety of new skills as a result, allowing her to freeze enemies in place and fire magical attacks.
She also has a built-in sprint mechanic, unlike her brother Zagreus, and Supergiant explains that she'll feel a lot different to play as. A great example of this is Melinoe's Omega attack stat, something which players will be able to improve with Boons and can be used to charge up weapons and unleash powerful abilities.
