Hades Erebus Gate — How To Get To Erebus In Hades
To get to Erebus i🐈n Hades, you’ll need to go through an Erebus Gate. Like Chaos Gates, these are small, circular holes in the floor that you can travel through instead of choosing your next chamber based on the reward𝄹 it offers.
Erebus Gates don’t spawn in every room — in fact, simi🉐larly to Chaos Gates, they’re actually quite rare. And, also like Chaos Gates, you can’t just go through them as if it’s nobody’s business — while Chaos Gates require ꧑you to sacrifice a portion of your HP in order to use them, Erebus Gates can only be accessed if your Heat gauge corresponds with their entry requirements.
Hades Erebus Gate — How To Turn Up The Heat Gauge
The Heat gauge is a special difficulty scaler you unlock after your first successful escape attempt in🍒 Hades. Essentially, after defeating your father for the first time, you gain 🦋access to the Pact of Punishment, a difficulty modifier that allows you to win rare rewards in exchange for making the game harder.
Each modifier is assigned a Heat level between 1 and 3 — adding a modifier with a value of 1 turns the Heat up to 1, while adding another with a value of 3 brings the H🌳eat gauge total up to 4.
If you want to viᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚsit Erebus, here are the Heat gauge values for Erebus Gat🐲es in each of Hades’ realms:
- Tartarus: 5 Heat
- Asphodel: 10 Heat
- Elysium: 15 Heat
The rewards in Erebus also work a bit dಞifferently — here’s everything you can earn in Erebus▨:
- Money — receive 200 obols instead of the uꦺsual 100
- Extra Health — increas🦂es ⛦max HP by 50 instead of 25
- Power-up Pom — inc🌊reases a Boon’s rating by 2ไ instead of 1
- Boons — increased chance to be Rare or higher
Hades Erebus Gate — What To Do in Erebus
The only way to get a reward in Erebus is to get a Perfect Clear. Basically, Hades will summon aꦯ variety of enemies in a small chamber, and you must defeat all of them without taking any damage. Successfully doing so will net you one of the awaꦓrds listed above — failing will get you a smelly Red Onion, which restores 1HP and is therefore not completely useless.
Fun fact: Erebus is also where you go to fight Charon, should you try 🐼to rob him on one of your runs. He’s one of the toughest bosses in the entire game, but if you win you get 20% off all of his sale items for the rest of that run. If you’re saving up for extra Titan Blood, taking him on is absolutely worth a shot.
