10 Resin
Resin is used to upgrade weapons at an upgrade station in the VR . It is found throughout the wor🤡🍬ld in bizarre places including porta-potties. This item is completely unexplained and it is also never explained how it is used as a material to add upgrades to weapons.
The places where resin can be found only add to its weird and mysterious nature because who left this alien substance throughout places such as office buildings? Perhaps future Half-Life games will make some sense of this obscure item but for now players are left wondering what i🌃t is and ho𒅌w it got inside of earth's buildings.
9 Barnacles
Barnacles were introduced in the original Half-Life title and they made a reappearance in Alyx. They're more horrifying than ever while getting sucked up by its long tongue in virtual reality a♊nd it's absolutely nerve-racking.
Although these are an interesting enemy they also don't make much sense. Its thin tongue should be easy to cut and although it may be tougher than an earth-based creature that doesn't change th♎e fact that its tongue is much more durable than it really should be. Players love these scary enemies but they make ve🌌ry little logical sense.
8 Mele𓂃e Weapons 🥀
Melee Weapons are curiously missing in Half-Life: Alyx. Apparently during development game testers had many issues including the melee weapon that was initially in the game getting stuck on 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:different objecඣts throughout the wo😼rld.
The reasoning to remove melee combat from the game may be a good one but in relation to the Half-Life world it doesn't make a bit of sense at all. There are many objects that can be picked up that could hypothetically be used as weapons however the game has no melee mechanics at all. Half-Life without a crowbar just isn't right!
7 Every💃 Character Looks 🌌The Same
Every character and enemy in Alyx looks the exact same. Thꦇis isn't a new concept in video games but that doesn't mean it isn't weird. Enemies within the game only have one model which means that every enemy looks identical to anoth🏅er enemy of the same kind.
In the real world these aliens would have unique features and attributes on their bodies and although it would be a large task to create hundreds of different models Valve could've at least created three or four unique models of each enemy for Alyx so the game would make a bit more sense.
6 🌠 Grenade Shotgun ✱
The shotgun in Alyx has 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:multiple modifications like the other guns in the game. The most powerful shotgun modification allows the player to shoot grenades from their gun. This attachment is extremely po༺we🐼rful and is one of, if not the most overpowered thing in the entire game.
It would be very difficult to create a modification such as this one in the real world and even with𝓰 the upgrade station it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. This upgrade isn't the most logical one in the game especially compared to reflex sig♌hts.
5 Visuals
Half-Life: Alyx is a VR masterpiece and because it is in VR it takes the realism of the Half-Life franchise to a whole new level. The graphics in Alyx have a unique art style and𒁏 are nice to look at however they aren't the most realistic and sometimes while playing fans realize that the visuals don't make sense in relation to the realism in the rest of the VR game.
The realism in Alyx is rivaled by few other games but the g𒈔raphical style definitely isn't one of them. At least fans enjoyed the visuals for what they were instead of getting hung up on the realistic aspects of them.
4 🃏 Upgrade Station ♍
The upgrade station in Alyx is technology beyond what players are used to in the real world. But the upgrade station goes beyond normal advanced tech and the system that the machine uses is barely eꦯlaborated on in the game.
Alyx introduced many pieces of tech that are curious and this is just one of them that makes zero sense at all. Hopefully if this machine is in future 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Half-Life games players wil꧃l get a better explanation as to how it quickly adds intricate upgrades to weapons, however for now fans will have to ignore the illogical attributes of this useful pi🦩ece of tech.
3 No Arms
Alyx Vance seems to be missing her arms in Half-Life: Alyx. Although the design choice for tꦗhis obvious development-wise it is still extremely weird to experience while actually inside of the headset.
The player is also missing the rest of their body however the arms are immediately noticeable because of the floating hands in the game. Even without arms Alyx Vance is still a threat to all her enemies and can use her combat ability to overpower enemies. Perhaps a mod will release in the future that will give arms to the pl꧅ayer and get rid of the floating hands th🅷at just don't make any sense.
2 Teleport Moveme🀅nt 🌱
This entry is another VR mechanic that makes sense game design-wise but while experiencing it within the game it just seems wacky. Teleportation movement is necessary for players that usually 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:experience motion sickness while walking around using smooth movement.
Not actually moving physically𝔍 can cause a lot of people to have motion sickness issues and teleportation movement is the only thing that solves their problem. For players that don't have these problems, the teleportation movement can feel very unusual and unnatural. This kind of movement doesn't make any logical sense within the laws of physics.

🗹The Gravity Gloves are an amazing VR specific feature that allows the player to quickly grab items that are less than easy to reach. The gloves are fun to use however it doesn't make much sense that a person could levitate items with just a pair of gloves.
If the technology was better explained by Russel within the game perhaps the Gravity Gloves would make more se🌞nse however with how much of a mystery the tech is it is unclear how the Gloves execute their unique function.
