After more than a decade, Halo 3 is getting a new multiplayer 🌄map. 343 Industries is currently testing the map with a limited beta, although it's expected to roll out to the public as early as February 18.
According to the latest , the map isn't te𝓡chnically new to the Halo universe. Dedicated fans will recognize it from the short-lived Halo Online – a multiplayer spin-off from Saber Interactivﷺe. However, a quick look at the shows a tiny roster that doesn't include anything like the new map coming to Halo 3 via The Master Chief Collection. Beyond the new map, Halo: MCC will be getting a lot of new content in the coming days. 343 says the full list is likely to chan🦩ge, but here's what it's hoping to bring later this month:

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is without a doubt the best way to experience the popular franchise in 2021. Many people were hoping to be playing Infinite right now, but the constant updates to MCC are a nice consolation prize. It'll be interesting to see how the player base fluctuates when Infinite is release💝d, as we have to imagine a large portion of MCC players will abandon the game for its shiny new cousin.
The rumored Waterfall map will likely make an appearance in Halo: MCC🀅 on February 18.
