343 Industr🔯ies has confirmed that Halo's iconic announcer, voiced by Jeff Steitze🔯r, won't be in Halo Infinite's Big Team Battle mode.
Halo Infinite is currently in the m𓆉iddle of its second technical preview, which adds Big Team Battle to the game's roster of modes. Gamers who are currently jumping into Big Team Battle have noticed one big omission - the 🌜announcer.
That's right, when playing Big Team Battle you'll only hear the voice of Spartan Commander Agryna, your perso🐲nal AI, and Spartan chatter. Jeff Steitzer doesn't have any voice lines in the mode at all, and fans aren't very happy about it.
, when asked about the announ🔯cer not being in Big Team Battle, 343 said, "Jeff Steitzer of course is our traditional multiplayer announcer for Halo, things are a little different though in Halo Inဣfinite - especially with BTB and we have Spartan Commander Agryna and sort of a whole new layer of creating your own Spartan and sort of beginning that journey...You have her voice and you have your personal AI as well as the occasional Spartan chatter".
The lack of the announcer in Big Team Battle has caused discussion amongst the Halo community over on the Halo subreddit. One particularly popular post asks 343 to add Steitzer back into the game, saying that he should at least announce some of t🥀he multi-kill medals, which he currently doesn't. , "It just doesn't feel right without him. I get that they want commander Agryna as an announcer to oversee the "spartan training"💛, which is fine, but at least let Jeff Steitzer announce the multi kill medals. It is Halo multiplayer after all".
What doesn't help matters is the fact that Halo Infinite players have already been prꦐetty vocaꩵl about how much the personal AI speaks and want an option to tone it down. That goes for Spartan chatter as well▨, with some players wanting more from the announcer and less from the characters.
