Every great weapon in fiction has a name, and a villain like Atriox is bound to have something at his side wit♕h such a mystique attached. Chainbreaker is the name of his modified Gravity Hammer that was custom-built to serve as an energy mace. It was the weapon that almost single-handedly killed a Spartan during his battle with Red Team. This two-handed weapon ⭕is dangerous when wielded by a normal Brute, but in the hands of someone with as much intelligence and combat experience as Atriox, it becomes the thing of nightmares.

Being the sole survivor of a traumatic event can make a character take some drastic actions. During the Human-Covenant War Atriox was deployed in units of 40 members, and every time he returned as the only survivor. This led to Atriox be𒅌coming jaded toward the Covenant and was likely the catalyst for his creation of The Banished. He began to resent the Covenant for making him fight in a war focused on beliefs he did not share. It is rather ironic that his ability to survive was both the singular thing that brought him respect and honor inside the Covenant, but was the driv💝ing force behind why he would eventually defy them.
