So, that Halo Infinite gameplay reveal we got to see in yesterday’s Xbox ꦆGames Show෴case? That wasn’t played on an Xbox Series X.
We got to see a lot of great stuff from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Microsoft Studios yesterday, including 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the big reveal of Halo Infinite. For most folks, it was exactly what they wanted to see: the best, biggest, and brightest Halo game ever made. And it turns out, it wasn’🌳t even played on an Xbox Series X.
In a Q&A session with , 343 Industries devs told the publication that the gameplay reveal was actually streamed from a PC made to mimic the specs of the Xbox Series X. “The game was captured from a PC that is representative of the experience tಞhat players will have on Xbox Series X.”
PCGamesN notes that this isn’t as controversial as it might seem. New games that are set to release on PC (as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Halo Infinite will) are often showcased first on computer, especially when the console it’l♋l eventually be released on has🌱n’t been fully revealed yet. Sure, we’ve seen the Xbox Series X in pictures, but we haven’t ever seen one in person and there are still details about the Xbox Series X that we still don’t know about--like price.
Itജ also didn’t really matter if it was being played on an Xbox Series X anyhow. Since the showcase was broadcast on YouTube and Twitch, most streams would only disp꧙lay at 1080p and not the beautiful 4K that the XSX should be capable of.
Some Halo fans 🅠seemed to note that things didn’t quite look “next-gen”𒊎 enough, so Xbox Marketing GM Aaron Greenberg decided to set the record straight in an interview with .
"Listen, we're in the middle of a global pandemic. It's July, we're far from [launch date], you're seeing a work-in-progress game. 🃏You probably watched the stream in 1080p, maybe. So we have put up a 4K-60, on-demand stream so people, I'd say 1: go back and look at the game in 4K-6♔0,” Greenberg said. “It's very hard to show the full power and graphical fidelity of what Xbox Series X will be able to deliver for you over a stream. Go back and look at it in 4K-60."
If yo﷽u’ve got the s🦩ort of internet that will allow it, you can see the 4K trailer in the video above.
