Halo Infinite players currently trying the game through its latest technical preview have found a glitch that lets Spartans punch faster than the speed of light. Or at least, faster than a c꧅ombat rifle.
The latest Halo Infinite technical previewꦡ has seen its fair share of glitches and tricks thanks to the increased number of players, but by far one of the funniest iꦆs this infinite punch string.
The super punch glitch is being refer🌌red to as "BXB", which is a reference to a specific button combo from older Halo games that would have a similar effect and allow players♐ to melee attack much faster by cancelling the animation by starting a reload. This allowed players to essentially cancel out of melee and back into it, which is starting to make Halo sound like a competitive fighting game.
. The short video shows them winding up for a punch and then activating some kind of windmill arms and running at the enemy, essentially killing them straight away. What makes the video particularly funny is how over-the-top the melee animations are, as they mostly seem to consist of punches and not pistol whips🅘.
It's not clear if the punch glitch is activated through cancelling a reload like it was i💙n Halo 2, but players are pretty confident that it's going to be patched out by 343 in the near future. Some fans are actually calling for game modes or modifiers that bring the feature into the spotlight, whilst some players claim that BXB melee attacks are skill-based and should be kept in the game. They probably won't be added like this though.
Since the original clip went viral on Reddit, other players have taken to replicating themselves, and it's now incredibly easy to find clips of BXB melee attacks in action. Considering how forward 343 has been in the past about chಞanges being made to Infinite, we'll likely hear about the glitch soon.
