343 Industries has revealed Halo Infinite will hav🤪e two technical previews this weekend and next, but matchmaking wil🧸l be limited to pre-determined time slots.
Although 2021 has been a huge year for games, some of its biggest offerings are still to come as we turn the corner and prepare for the holiday season. Guardians of the Galaxy, Battlefield 2042, and Pokemon's Diamond and Pearl remakes will all be here before the end of the year. Not to mention the highly-anticipated arrival of Halo Infinite.
Infinite, which was supposed to launch alongside the Xbox Series X|S in 2020, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:will finally arrive on December 8, 2🐻021. Some have already had the chance to take a few of its features for a spin, and a few more of you will be able to do that too o♏ver the course of the next two weekends.
343 Industries has announced that it will be holding two technical previews 🔯over the course of the next tw﷽o weekends via a new post on . The first preview will technically go live on Thursday, September 23, however, matchmaking will be restricted to pre-determined four-hour timeslots. 1 pm to 5 pm EST every day from Friday through until Monday, and 8 pm until midnight on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The same time slots will apply to the following weekend minus the final one on the Monday.
Both previews will carry over everything that was included in August's preview. During the first weekend, 4v4 Arenas will be tested. Weekend number two will also include Arenas but also introduce 12v12 Big Team Battle for the first time. While matchmaking will be limited to the above times, training mode and weapon drills will be available throughout both weekends as soon as the build is downloaded.
As highlighted by Halo community manager John Junyszek, the reason for limiting matchmaking this way is to test Infinite's servers under as much traffic as possible. Since matchmaking will only be available for a limited time, the hope is that as many of those invited as possible log in and play at once, so 343 can test whether Infinite's servers can handle the heavy load. Speaking of invites, Halo Insiders should have received one like Geoff Keighley's above with details on how to download and access the build coming later this week.
