At long last, the PC port of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Halo: Reach is closer to being the definitive edition. Coinciding with the launch of Halo 3 on PC today, the now eight-month-old port of Reach has received a patch to improve its audio quality. No longer will yo🦹u have to deal with sound effects that sound like they are blaring out of blown-out speakers.
When the game made the jump to Xbox One and PC in late December of 2019, developer 343 Industries had encountered an issue with converting the audio codec used in the original Xbox 360 version if Reach. Due to whatever wac🌳ky coding was going on behind the sce🗹nes, the audio in the newer versions sounded terrible (to put it bluntly).
With this latest update, Reach now has sound quality that comes much closer to the original iteration. This doesn't fix the janky effects of using an unlocked framerate, but I can deal with 60 FPS as long as the audio is fine. It was a shame that the gun firing sounds and music were so piss poor, especially since Reach has excellent audio design.
Along with that update comes some enhancements to the Forge editor for multiplayer. Players will now have the option to edit maps from Reach, Combat Evolved, and Halo 2 as well as the overhauled version that was included with Halo 3. The new skull for Halo 3 was also include♈d with this patch, t🌠hough that goes without saying.
The rest of the update log posted on 343's website details some minute changes that most players won't notice. There are things related to achievements not unlocking, certain tweaks to map location names, etc. It's not the most exciting of list of changes, but it is nice to see Halo receive continued support.
With Halo Infinite still on for a release alongside the Xbox Series X, it appears as if 343 will hit its promise of getting all of the Master Chief Collection titles on PC in 2020. It will still be weird that Halo 5: Guardians isn't on the platform, but that may still happen in the future. Halo was done really well on Steam and PC players are eager to experie♓nce the highs and lows of this franchise🅘. Why leave money on the table?
