While some players eagerly awaiting the new game have been tempted by the file, which is being distributed illegally, the consequences for downloading it are high and could end in this single level test being the only future Halo content you’ll get chance to play.

As news of the leak broke, a representative from 343 Indus🍬tries, developers of the franchise, addressed the issue on the The post says:

If you download or play this illegal copy, we have the right to ban all associated accounts and remove you from all current or future 343 programs. The Micr𒀰osoft Service Agreement can be found .”
The link takes you through to the lengthy Microsoft Service Agreement, which sets out the terms players are expected to abide by. The player code of conduct includes the lines “Don’t do anything illegal” and “Don’t circumvent any restrictions on access to or availability of the Serᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚvices.” These are two points that would be broken by downloading and playing the test level. The consequences for breaking the code of conduct are clearly outlined and include having your account closed and blocked.
It seems 343 Industries is if players break the rules. So, if you’ve been tempted by the file, don’t do it. You'd basically be risking your entire Halo playing♒ future for the sake 𝓀of very limited access to one level.
