The Halo series offers people a glimpse into the future where there are many technological advances, despite all the war stuff going on. These include 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ships capable of🐈 quickly traversin🦄g the stars and some powerful weapons capab🌌l❀e of annihilating massive foes. Perhaps most 🧔impressive and intriguing♎ though are the numerous types of artificial intelligences in Halo, or AI for short.
Each individual AI in both the books and games are not only capable of doing a 🎉multitude ൩of things, like analyzing data and infiltrating systems, but each also have their own personality and appearances. They have also gone on to have a huge impact on the galaxy and the consequences of their actions can still be seen.
8 𓄧 032 Mendicant Bias ❀
Thousands of years before the UNSC and Covenant dominated the galaxy, the Forerunners had AI of their own. One of which was 032 Mendicant Bias who was tasked with finding weaknesses in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the parasitic Flood who were spreading like a hurricane.
The Flooꦜd however introduced a virus that would make 032 go rampant, side with them and thus turn on its creators, eventually leading to the firing of the Halo rings. Eventually the Covenant would discover it where it will reveal that humanity was the key to activating the rings, leading to the Human-Covenant war. 032 caused many issues but would end up helping the Master Chief aboard the Ark in Halo 3 as a way to atone for its mistakes.
7 Serina
Unlike Forerunner AIs, human AIs are split into two categories called "dumb" AIs, which are your basic AI that show little emotion, and "smart" AI, who have their own unique appearance and personality. One of the latter ones was Serina who helped the UNSC ship Spirit of Fire in its fight against the Covenant during Halo Wars, which is chronologically set before the m🦩ain trilogy.
Though she puts on a facade of being sarcastic and uncaring, Serina actually cared deeply for each soldier of the vessel. When the ship became stranded she made sure that the crew were ready for whatever came upon their ✃eventual awakening, ensuring that even after 𝐆her death, they would be ok.
6 Isabel
The next AI to serve the Spirit of Fire was Isabel, who was initially assigned to the Ark to help a UNSC science team with logistics. That team though were eventually killed by the Banished on the orders of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:their leader, Atriox. She would hide and eventually be reꦇscued by a recently arrived Spirit of Fire, 💮now hoping to avenge her former team.
Though not as snarky as her pr💎edecessor, Isabel make🌼s a legitimate attempt at trying to bond with her new crew which makes her feel like the new kid at school. She goes on to quickly prove her worth and seems to be someone who will be around for more to come.
5 Dot
Also known as Auntie Dot, she was the AI for Noble team before and during the events of Halo: Reach where she served as the helper to the team as well as their commander, Cꦕolonel Holland. Her information has helped the Spartans of Noble of several occasions, like an Auntie who helps you out from time to time.
What's interesting about her is that she chooses to take the form of a blue grid pattern that lights up. Though lacking a lot of emotion, she is seen trying to seemingly comfort Jorge during the Long Night of Solace mission in Reach. It may not be the best way of consoling someone, but it's better than nothing.
4 Roland
Modeled after a World War II pilot, Roland is the ship AI for the UNSC Infinity, the largest and most important ship in the military's fleet. He was first introduced in Halo 4's Spartan Ops mode and showcased what makes him different.
The guy isn't afraid to flaunt his intelligence but still remains loyal to the human crew on his ship, and he has a powerful sense of morality. This is especially shown when he does not betray them to Cortana towards the end of Halo 5. Having someone as smart and faithful as Roland around is a must for any Spartan team.
3 Vergil
Also known as the Superintendent, Vergil is proof that you shouldn't take something at face value. This AI watches over the city of New Mombasa posing as the "dumb" AI Superintendent while quietly helping the city run as Vergil. When the Covenant invade, it helps in the defense of the city until the slip space rupture heavily damages its core.
Vergil would be doomed if it were not for the intervention of a former Covenant Engineer who repaired it. By the time Rookie and Captain Dare show up, it has now transferred its data to the Engineer, living through it in a way. As a result, Vergil is able to escape New Mombasa and help reveal the Prophet of Truth's plan to Sergeant Johnson.
2 ꧋ 🌠343 Guilty Spark
The most well-known out of all the Forerunner AIs is 343 Guilty Spark, who ♏is in charge of monitoring the Halo ring from Combat Evolved. When the Flood get loose on the station, it nearly tricks Master Chief into activating the ring until it is stopped by Cortana.🧜 After the destruction of the installation, he would become an uneasy ally to the UNSC.
When the new Halo was launched in Halo 3's climax, it again tries to go through with its plan by killing Johnson who wanted to use this ring to destroy the Ark and Flood without wiping out all life. But it failed and was destroyed by Master Chief, avenging his longtime friend.
1 Cortana
What AI in the universe is better than Cortana? Whether it be the original or the new one seen in Infinite, Cortana is just as synonymous with Halo as Master🤪 Chief is. Her wittiness is matched only by her intelligence and her willingness to help stop the Covenant from wiping out humanity.
Her personality is truly life-like as we see become more human as the series progresses. Her struggle with dying during Halo 4 is relatable and makes for an emotional send-off, even if she comes back in Halo 5. But the sadness of the whole situation showcases how Cortana was able to win over many hearts with her showing strength and a willingness to sacrifice for a greater good. It's what makes her the best AI character in the Halo series.
