Halo:🍰 The Master Chief's eighth and final season launches on October 13 and will introduce alternate reality Spartan armour sets.
The eighth season is fittingly titled "Mythic", and its main draw is the introduction of armour sꦆets ba♎sed on alternate universe Spartans, such as a roman-inspired set and a plague doctor-esque design.
, "The team has pushed into brand new territory for customization content and it’s been turning heads internally. Those of you who🐈 have participated in Halo Insider flighting for the Season 8 update have already had a glimpse, but we wouldn’t be more excited to bring this to🍬 everyone".
If you've been paying attention to the Halo community over the past few months, some of the armour sets introduced in Season Eight might seem familiar to you. That's because a good portion of the community has already seen these armour sets thanks to early playtest flights for the season. You might also be aware that what feels like a vocal maಞjority of the ❀Halo community isn't too fond of these armour sets, claimওing that they're a little too far from what ൲people expect and want from Halo.
343 also confirmed that this eighth season is going to be theꦆ last for the Master Chief Collection for some time, noting, "To that end, it’s important to us that we position MCC’s eighth season for success but also help alleviate any conflicts that could take away from the studio’s focus on Halo Infinite’s launch. To that end, Season 8’s release later this Fall will be our last official MCC update of this calendar year".
The team does prom💎ise that smaller content updates will be coming to The Master⛄ Chief Collection in the future, although it seems like they'll be on a case-by-case basis, and will definitely be more limited following Infinite's launch.
Whether the community likes these arm💟our sets or not, you'll be able to check them out for yourself when Halo 3's final season launches next week. Let's be real - they'll definitely be appearing in Infinite at some point.
