Batman first appeared in a comic in 1939 and DC has been doing a lot to celebrate 85 years of The Dark Knight. That extends to The Bat's supporting cast too and today, a very unexpected but welcome way to mark the anniversary has been revealed in the former of two new Barbie dolls - one modeled after Harley Quinn, and the other Poison Ivy.

The new Barbies were revealed this week and are already available to pre-order through Mattel Creations. Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy's dolls are $55 each although for the first stage of the pre-order period, only Barbie Club 59 members can buy the dolls. That means having to sign up to Barbie Club 59 if you're not already a member which is $9.99 for 12 months, pushing the price of the dolls up to $64.99 each for a limited time.

The Barbies will be stocked elsewhere depending on how many are left after the initial pre-order period has ended, so if you don't want to pay the extra $9.99 or be a Barbie Club 59 member, you can cross your fingers and wait for the dolls to go on general sale. Both Harley and Ivy's Barbie makeovers are based on two of the character's most iconic looks. Harley's doll has the look Margot Robbie has made famous in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Suicide Squad 🍨movies, and Ivy is green from head to toe. Even the doll's skin is green w🦄hich might be a first for Barbie.

Harley Quinn And Poison Ivy Now Have Their Very Own Barbies

Happy Birthday, Batman. Do You Like Dolls?

The Harley Barbie is wearing blue and pink eyeshadow and has the same ౠcolor streaks in her hair to match. Her gear is red and black, just like it is in most of Quinn's comic book fits, and she's wielding Harley's weapon of choice, a mallet. Poison Ivy also has a couple of accessories - a crossbow on her wrist, and a venus fly trap in her hand. The Barbie has the same flowing red hair as Ivy, and there are vines climbing up her green boots.

  • Harley Quinn Barbie Doll

Created to celebrate Batman's 85th anniversary, Harley Quinn has been turned into a Barbie. A crossover nobody was expecting, the doll's look is based on one even the most casual Harley Quinn fan will be familiar with and comes equipped with her signature mallet.

  • Poison Ivy Barbie Doll

Even Barbie wanted in on Batman's 85th anniversary, but turning The Dark Knight into a doll wouldn't have made much sense. Instead, it gave Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy the Barbie treatment. The Ivy doll is green all over and comes with a crossbow strapped to her wrist and a venus flytrap accessory.

Barb🍎ie is so famous around the world, particularly after her hit movie grossed almost $1.5 billion at the box office in 2023, that she doesn't usually need to crossover with other notable names and brands to be succe🌳ssful. Batman, one of the few fictional characters more famous than Barbie, is well worth a collab, though, particularly when it's to celebrate the caped crusader's birthday. Now, if we could get some Batman and Robin Ken dolls to go with the Harley and Ivy ones, that would really be the cherry on the 85th birthday cake.
