Sure, you can head on down to your local screen-printing joint and get a custom t-shirt. Hey, maybe🤡 you even want to dabble in airbrushing so you can make those trashy t-shirts found at local carnivals.
But wouldn't it be more fun to edit t-shirts with Hatsune Miku? We certainly think so💜.
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix is giving players a chance to do just that, with the ability to make snazzy shirts and deck out your favorite Vocaloid in them. A💟 new feature to the franchise, players will be able to use either the Switch's face buttons or a touch pen to customize t-shirts. Your Vocaloids will be able to actually wear these shirts in the rhythm game, too, meaning that you can ꧃watch Meiko dance around in something that looks like it was drawn by a two-year-old because drawing on a touchscreen is a waking nightmare.
It's exciting, honestly, to think about the crazy, cool designs people are gonna come out with in this thing. Somehow, people have managed to use the DS and Switch touch screens to make some beautiful creations, and this'll probably be no different. Of course, people are going to probably also make some horrible abominations and things that offend just abo🃏ut every possible demographic, but hey, that's the nature of player-created content.
Whatever racist slogan some anime fan in Montana makes Miku wear, however, the fact remains that this is a pretty rad feature. Costume customization has always been a pretty big part of the Project DIVA franchise,🅷 and this is just a natural evolution of that. Plus, we can make the ever-stylish Vocaloids dress like schlubs like the rest of us, and really, what other kind of wish fulfillment could you possibly want from a video game?
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix is the latest in the decade-old series, and the first official entry on a Nintendo console - not including the Nendoroid-tinged s♐pin-off. It's slated to release in early 2020, and a Western release has already been confirmed.
