Crunchyroll, Western anime fans’ premier streaming and localization service, has partnered with HBO to bring its most beloved titles to HBO Max. The platform’s official launch date, May 27th, will see anime titles such as Konosuba and RE:Zero will soon be streamed alongside Barry, Adventure Time, and DC Universe shows.

Day One of the launch will add 17 anime titles to HBO Max. The full list can be viewed on Crunchyroll's , but look forward to fan-favorites such as Your Lie In April, Berserk, Kill la Kill, and more. Moving forward, Crunchyroll will cycle in a curated selection of new shows each quarter and plans to add cult classics Death Note and Hunter x Hunter to the show lineup later this year.

For anime fans, the biggest highlight of HBO Max’s launch day has got to be Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. In fact, many of Crunchyroll’s most popular titles are slated to feature on HBO Max, as well as more obscure but no less enjoyable shows like Keep Your Hands Off Eizoken and Kiznaiver.

Fans with existing Crunchyroll subscript💞ions will likely not see any changes to their viewing experience. All 1,000 plus titles currently available on Crunchyroll will stay on Crunchyroll, but the inclusion of a wealth of anime to HBO Max might tempt HBO Now subscribers and prospective customers to sign up for Max.

HBO Max is currently running a where new subscribers and existing HBO Nowꦍ subscibers will see their monthly fee decreased from $1ꦐ5 to $12 during the platform's first year.
