Members of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hearthstone team spent some time on Reddit recently to do a Developer AMA, and a ton of information was revealed about the future of the game. Game Director Be💛n Lee and🔯 other members of the team spoke about upcoming changes to the Basic and Classic sets, Battlegrounds, Arena, Nerfs and Buffs, Expansions, and much more.

An Undead Tribe?

One of the best answers in the entire AMA came to the question about how the undead might be incorporated into the game. Ben Lee responded with an iconic quote from King Terenas Menethil II in Warcraft III, leaving little doubt that the undead are coming back to Hearthstone in a major way.

Reworking The Basic/Classic Set

The Basic and Classic set is something that was extremely useful at the launch of the game, but now six years later, is outdated and in need of a rework. The developers have hinted fꦓor years that this was being worked on, at least to some degree, and now Lee has confirmed that players will see a modern set coming in the first expansion of next year.

For now, the developers are asking players to comment on which cards they would like to see in Standard, and this should provide a whole new experience to players, as well as ease future design restrictions for several classes if done correctly. Will cards like Archmage Antonidas, Tirion Fording, and Edwin VanCleef finally leave Standard? It is odd to consider Hearthstone without those cards, but that may be ꦡwhat happens soon.

Arena Balancing

The developers have a main goal of developing new game modes while also maintaining Are♌na in a “stable place.” To accomplish this, set rotations were removed due to imbalances in power levels, but due to player requests, they will be brought back once again in December with the next expansion release.

u/HS_Celestalon went on to describe how the old bucket system was highly problematic and not likely going to see a resurgence any time soon. This is a smart move overall, because the inability of Blizzard to properly balance Arena buckets at the start of virtually every expansion since Hearthstone first launched has often led to each new expansion havin൩g one or two ove🐼rly dominant classes in that mode.

In the end, “Even just a few pooওrly-bucketed cards would cause significantly negative community reaction/experience, until we could fix them.” After years of not being able to properly balance buckets, the best thing is to stay away from such a system enti♚rely.

Battleground Rank Resets And Redesigns

Overall, Battlegrounds have proܫven to be popular among players as a new, fresh mode, but there are certainly underlying issues of bal🐈ance and design to address. For starters, both The Tide Razor and Nat Pagle, Extreme Angler are currently being redesigned, as tokens created by other cards seem problematic in the current meta.

Murlocks and boosts will soon see a nerf and a boost, respectively, though this is business as usual with tribes often needing a slight nudge in one direction or anoღt﷽her.

Finally, the ranked reset, season resets, and more will al𓄧l be coming soon, though no firm dates have been offered.

Reverting Nerfs In Wild

One of the best changes that Blizzard has made recently, though it took far to long to startꦅ, was paying attention to the Wild format. Several cards have seen their previous nerfs reverted, because while their original effects might have been too powerful for Standard, thღey fit right in with the absurd power levels of Wild.

In the next rotation to Wild, u/HS_Alex states that players should see several reverts from the Rise of Shadows, Tombs of Terror or Descent of Dragons expansions, as well as s꧑ome other cards that are already in Wild.

Future Expansions

As always seems to be the case during a Reddit AMA, several questions asked if Hearthstone would ever include characters or story pieces from other Blizzard games, such as having Starcraft units. u/HearthstoneTeamAMA was quick to reaffirm, once again, that “We don't really see our expansions branching out into other Blizzard universes—Azeroth and Warcraft are core to Hearthstone.”

If ever this were to change, it would not be an ordinary occurrence, but rather, “…it is possible that we may celebrate a special occasion with some other Blizzard favorites during limited events.” We saw this a few years ago with The Dark Wanderer, a special Tavern Brawl that in January of 2017 to celebrate 20 years of Diablo and had no effect on Standard o☂r Wild modes of play.

It was alওso revealed that there are currently no more plans for year-long narratives as seen with the Year of the Dragon. This is probably for the best, since each expansion there felt as though the narrat𓆏ive structure was shoehorned in because of an obligation rather than because it made any real sense.

Golden Cards And Alternate Art?

u/HearthstoneTeamAMA touched on a subject that players have been requesting for years, and that is 🍸to have the ability to upgrade an existing card to its golden version for a discounted price. Right now, the crafting loss between disenchanting a normal card and then creating a golden one always feels awful, and the team stated that they still enjoy the idea as something they would love to work on, but there are other bigger projects that in line first.

Lastly, a new type of “vanity card type that can look different in both the Collection, ahnd, and on the board is in the works.” This sounds like alternate card art, which is something that several other CCGs have like Magic: The Gathering Arena but remains absent in Hearthstone. For years the explanation for this has been that it is not friendly to new players if they see a card they do not recognize solel𒈔y because of its alternate art, but that seems to be changing now.

In any case, the entire is well worth a read to see what else lies ahead for Hearthstone!
