Now that Blizzard has revealed the next 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hearthstone expansion to be Scholomance Academy, players have had several questions regarding the specifics of new keywords and mechanics. Where possible, the developers have tried to answer some of the most frequently asked questions across several platforms like Reddit, Twitter, and the official Blizzard forums.
How Will Dual-Class Card Affect Certain Classes?
The introduction of dual-class cards is interesting, to say the least. Technically it is not new, since we have already seen tri-class cards introduced years ago in the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan expansion. A frequent question that pop🎃ped up in ♊the forums related to the effect of dual-class card on decks that work around the archetype of Pure Paladin.
This was addressed on Twitter by Celestalon, a game designer for Hearthstone. It appears that Pure Paladin will be unaffected because the stipulation is that no neutral cards can be in the deck, and dual-class cards 🌞do not fall within the category of neutral just because they share a class designation.
Celestalon also clarified that at the same time, this has negative implications for the Rogue class, because playing cards like Dragon’s Hoard or Vendetta require cards🐼 from other classes. Dual-class cards will count as Rogue cards when shared with another class, which is slightly disappointing, but understandable if consistently applied. ꧂Discovering a Mage/Rogue or Warrior/Rogue card will not trigger Vendetta as a result, because it is not technically from another class just because it also belongs to non-rogue classes.
Devolving Missiles And Spellpower
Without a doubt, Devolving Missiles is going to be among the most degenerative cards in the expansion that is going to always feel bad to play against. No ma🔥tter wha🔯t well-laid out strategy one may have, a single mana-cost spell will utterly ruin one’s minion-based strategies. Luckily, it cannot be empowered by things like spell power.
The question ab💦out spell power affecting this card also appears often online, and this is understandable since the Mage class has other “missile” style spells that do benefit from spell power. However, since Devolving Mﷺissiles does not deal any damage, spell power does not affect it in any way, thankfully.
Spell Burst Is Limited To Scholomance…For Now
Spell Burst, so far, looks quite powerful in terms of the effects conferred on activation. It is supposedly balanced out by only being activated once per time🧔 a card is played, and Celestalon reaffirmed this point.
Interestingly, it seems as though the design team looked at the keyword for Spell Burst and thankfully have limited it only to the Scholomance Academy expansion. While it may certainly pop up again in the future, it is nice to see that something as potentially powerful as this keyword is being limited in scope to only a single expansion and not a regular addition to the game. We recently described how the addition of Rush as a keyword, among other things, has been quite negative for the health of the game, and we would hate to see more overpowered keywords creep into Hearthstone.
How Does Rattlegore Work With Buffs? With N’Zoth, the Corruptor?
Rattlegore looks like one of the more interested cards in the expansion. It probably is not nearly strong enough to make the cut in the ✃current met♍a, but the theme fits the character perfectly in its design. Players should be aware however that once killed, the re-summoned card with reduced stats will not keep any previous buffs like taunt or an increase to its health or attack.
On the other hand, using N’Zoth, the Corruptor in Wild format will bring Rattlegore back as if it were played for the first time at its default stats of nine attack and health. Could Rattlegore become a part of a control Warrior that plays heavy into Deathrattle mi🐷niꦜons and N’Zoth in Wild? Probably not, but some will certainly try!
How Will Transfer Student Work In The Future?
Transfer Student is an interesting card available now to all players for free, and all they need to do is log in to receive two copies of the Epic rarity card. The card will likely never be competitive due to its 𒁃effect being tied to the game board, something that cannot be controlled by players, and playe😼rs are wondering what will happen when the card is no longer receiving support, likely after rotating into Wild.
Senior game designer u/HS_Celestalon that the card will only receive support in Sta🌟ndard. Once it rotates out, “new boards will get a consistent "Battlecry: Discover a <Expansion> ca🐻rd." for each board.”
