Twinbeard later goes on to clarify that it's just the delivery system that's getting overhauled, and not the medal currency players are used to, so there are no worries on that front. We don't quite know when Arrowhead plans on overhauling the system just yet, especially when it probably has its hands busy orchestrating the return of the Automatons as well as the potential introduction of🎀 the Illumina൩te.

In other Helldivers 2 news, it's all hands on deck right now, as the previously defeated Automatons have returned in full force, with brutal game master Joel describing the intitial force as a "vanguard" for the full assault. Not only have they taken bag a large portion of the galaxy, but they've also managed to liberate Cyberstan and the cyborgs, who have upgraded the Automatons to pose more of a threat.
We also have a new Terminid threat to worry about, as it was reported that the TCS designed to wipe out the bugs has caused the surviving ones to multiply twenty times faster than before, and they're sporting horrible new mutations to boot.
