We're only two months into 2024, but it's already managed to be yet another banger year for gaming releases thanks to Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Persona 3 Reload, Tekken 8, and a whole lot more. One of the biggest surprises, though, has been Helldivers 2, which didn't have much fanfare leading up to its launch and has suddenly become one of the most talked-about games of the year.
Helldivers 2 Feels Like A PS2 Game I Never G𝓀ot To Play

Although a lot of that chatter has been about how much fun players are having and how chaotic things can get when fighting in the Galactic War (which is showꦍn in real-ti🍷me, another detail that players love), it seems that Helldivers 2 has also been traumatisinꦐg a lot of players thanks to its relentless difficulty and challenging battles against robots and bugs.
Nowhere is this seen better than in a level that the community has lovingly dubbed "Robot Vietnam". Although the first few areas of Helldivers 2 will mostly have you going up against a variety of bugs, you'll eventually find yourself fighting robots that are a lot harder to take down. The most notable example of this is an area called Malevelon Creek, which is a forest planet that'll have you going toe-to-toe with a bunch of automatons.
, the level really does earn the n꧑ame Robot Vietnam. The mixture of bullets flying everywhere, robots coming out of the dark trees, and the sound of screaming that your comrades are almost bound to be doing makes this as close to a real war as Hell🅠divers 2 can get.
Helldivers 2 is tough enough with a squad of friends by your side, but it's absolutely monstrous if you're going it solo. Robot Vietnam really isn't a level to be played on your own.
It's not just the cinematic factor of fighting a bunch of robots in a dark forest area, though. Helldivers 2 is never an easy time per se, but the robots are a lot har♌der to deal with than the bugs and Robot Vietnam is absolutely crawling with them, making it one of the more cha♋llenging areas up to that point in the game.
As difficult as Malevelon Creek is, though, it has at least given the community a brilliant meme to talk about, and a hell of a challenge for everꦏyone to get through together.
