Before completing his task, Mr. Peterson - who apparently has super hearing and spatial awareness - finds the kids spying on him and chases them through the park. Peterson unknowingly drops the amulet, which Nicky promptly picks up beꦯfore running straight home to hide in his room. Viewers are left with Mr. Peterson staring at Nicky’s bedroom window before going back inside his house, slamming the door behind him.
Really, this pilot clip falls right in line with the overall synopsis from the video game, which is to sneak around to find out what the neighbor is up to. The overall vibe of the show seems suspenseful and dramatic, yet innocent and fun enough to appeal to the franchise’s target audience of pre-teens.
