Actor Henry Cavill said he wants to play Geralt in the Netflix ad🦩aptation of The Witcher series.
You might know Cavill better as Superman in the DC movies, or from his most recent portrayal as the CIA vill🐈ain in Mission Impossible: Fallout. He might be a bit of a pr🌜etty-boy meathead on the outside, but on the inside, he’s a hardcore 𒉰gamer.
When Cavill landed the role of🤪 Superman way back in 2013, he actually nearly let director Zach Snyder go to voicemail because he was too busy ꦺplaying . He’s also not been too shy about his love for Skyrim as well as his love for another fantasy series from CD Pr🌳ojekꦜt Red: The Witcher.
In a recent press pow-wow with IGN, Cavill let it be known that Netflix shoul🐻d get in touch with hജis people for their upcoming Witcher TV series. He’d love to play the part of G🥃eralt, the series’ monster-slaying hero.

"Absolutely,” he said when IG🤡N asked if he’d like to play the part. “Yeah, that would be an amazing rol𓃲e."
Cavill almౠost glossed over the possibility of starring in the new Netflix series to instead gush about another of h♋is nerdy hobbies: reading. Specifically, the fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski which eventually became the source material for The Witcher.
Apparently the Netflix series is goiꦍng to be based more on the novels than♏ the games, which is something we have Cavill to thank for letting out of the bag.
Netflix has put star producer 𝓰Lauren S. Hissrich in charge of The Witcher series for her previous success on Daredevil and The Defenders. Writers from Jessica Jones and Amazon Prime’s The Tick are also said to be involved with the project.
, the pilot episode has already been filmed with the series’ script also already written. This might mak🗹e Cavill’s plans for playing Geralt a little difficult unless Netflix ꦑis willing to recast partway into production. But with Cavill working on big Hollywood projects like Mission Impossible, it seems unlikely that N༒etflix would be able to afford him.
Then again, to play the nerdy role of a lifetime, Cavill⛦ just might be willing to take the pay cut.
