Henry Cavill is not only a huge gamer — he's also an avid sports fan of both European and American sports. Thiಞs made one very "auspi🎉cious day" for the British actor, as both Super Bowl 54 and the Rugby match between England and France took place this past Sunday.

On this fateful Sunday, Cavill took to Instagram, letting loose a 🍬battle cry for both teams. Unlike previous gameday posts, however, a simple selfie wasn't going to suffice. No, a momentous occasion such as this required the sportsman to call on his true warrior's spirit, so he suited up and "rode onto the battlefield of fandom" as Geralt of Rivia.

This isn't the first time Henry Cavill has waged war for his teams. On the a couple of years ago, he compared hi𓃲s sideline seating at a Chiefs game to being a Gladiator in Rome and his Rugby experience akin to a battlefront.

Recently, in an , Cavill reiterated the reasoning behind his support for the Kansas City Chiefs. The British-actor was developing an interest in American Football while portraying the role of Superman in 2013's Man of Steel. Thus he decided if Superman 💟were a football fan, he would support his home-state of Kansas.

This deduction turned out to be an exceptionally fitting choice as the actor went on to reprise the role twice more in Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, in 2016, and The Justice League the following year. The Superman correlations don't stop there either. Geralt's canine mount in the Instagram post is Cavill's American Akita, Kal, who the actor aptly named after his superhero counterpart as we꧙ll.

It's a good thing Henry Cavill had honey-drowned drinks at the ready to bolster the war cries as he had cause to roar in both jubilation and def🦂iance this day. The Chiefs Superman'd their way to an eleven point victory against the San Fransisco 49ers. But, unfortunately, Cavill's national rugby team of England left the battlefield suffering a 7-point defeat.

Henry Cavill will be returning to Hungary shortly to start production on The Witcher season 2. Perhaps the battle cries were a means of getting back into character, running his voice ragged to prepare Geraওlt's gravely gravitas ton🙈e. Whatever his methods, fans can keep up with Cavill and his trusty Roach-Kal on the actor's Instagram account.
