Ubisoft has partnered with Archon Studio for an official Heroes of Might and Magic 3 tabletop game, featuring all the hallmarks of the cult꧒-classic video game. The project will be funded via a Kickstarte𓂃r campaign, scheduled to start in November 2022.
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 has long felt like the perfect project for a tabletop adventure, making it quite the surprise you'll have to wait until 2023. Perhaps the more shocking note is that the community will fund the project, despite Ubisoft (which owns the rights to the franchise after purchasing it from The 3DO Company in 2003) acting as publisher. Yet, big companies relying on fan support for projects isn't a strange phenomenon in this industry.
the core package will feature only three different towns (out of nine available with The Shadow of Death expansion) — Inferno, Castle, and a third faction of the community's choosing. In the tabletop version, you'll be able to control two heroes who gather resources and armies of well-known creatures from their settlements. Heroes of Might and Magic 3's board game loop will combine world-exploring of the randomized hexagonal map of Erathia and the chess-like turn-based battle system.
There will be over 30 detailed miniature models of famous heroes (six in total) and 24 iconic creatures in the core game. You can also expect to see familiar artifact cards, four schools of magic with combat spells, and a hero progression system. The reimagined tabletop universe will also come to life through the work of a Ukrainian artist beloved by the community, Iana Vengerova — 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:you can check some of her work here.
Archon . The studio noted that the campaign's basic pledge level and all of its stretch goals will be priced below $99. However, advanced backers may see additional expansions for the core game — adding at least two more factions.
For the Heroes of Might and Magic 3 tabletop adventure, Archon says it will work closely with the community to "deliver exactly the game everybody wants,"— a wise move considering how beloved (or even sacred) Heroes of Might & Magic 3 is. Previously, the Polish studio worked on Wolfenstein: The Board Game, League of Ancient Defenders, Chronicle X, Dungeons & Lasers, and Vanguard of War. So far, Archon has 11 successful proje♚cts in total funded on Kickstarter.
