Turn-based strategy is one of those genres that work well on phones and it's about time Ubisoft realized that. It's owned the rights to Heroes of Might and Magic, one of the longest-running turn-based stra♊tegy franchises, since 2003, yet it hasn't been until now that it has bothered to release🍷 a mobile version of the game.

Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos is a direct sequel to Heroes of Might and Magic III, which is widely regarded as the best game in the series. In Era of Chaos, The kingdom of Erathia has fallen to dark forces after King Gryphonheart is assassinated, forcingღ his daughter (Queen Catherine) to rally the people and retake her h🐻omeland.

The game boasts its inclusion of player-favorite characters, such as the half-genie Yog and the barbarian Shiva. It even includes a campaign that's a retread of the original game's story, if you need to be caught up to speed. But despit🌺e this, it's clear that the design of the game is not meant to imitate the other entries in the series.

The new mobile game's graphics have shed the relatively-realistic look of its 1999 predecessor. Instead, it opts for a more stylized, almost cartoonish art style that seems to mimic other mobile games rather than the look of its PC brethren. The press materials describe this art style as "detailed," but even though it's certainly higher-resolution than the older game, it doesn't seem like detail w🐠as the main concern of the redesign.

The game has also chosen to simplify the game's combat, having each battle automatically play out the after characters positions are chosen by the player -- a major change from the hex-based☂ combat of its prequel.

If you're looking forward to a return to Erathia and the changes to the game don't deter you, then you can pre-register on the official  official websit😼e. Everyone who does pre-regis꧙ter will get the exclusive Pirate Catherine skin

and a Legenda🎃ry Pack of loot when the game launches by the end of the year🐬.
