Xbox is currently the villain of the week, having shut down game studios Arkane Austin andღ Tango Gameworks. While it's a shame to see any studio close its doors, most people found Tango's closure particularly baffling, having recently released the critically acclaimed and beloved Hi-Fi Rush. Hi-Fi Rush's physical version is great to have out there, especially when there were concerns about the game's licensing. We know that several games have been delisted in the past due to problems with music licenses, such as Alan Wake and Spec Ops: The Line, and Hi-Fi Rush could potentially be another victim as Tango was working on a streamer mode before it was shut down. With licensed music on the soundtrack, it's likely Hi-Fi Rush could be delisted from digital storefronts in the future.
Now that we have a physical edition on the way, Hi-Fi Rush won't be forgotten should the game be delisted from digital storefronts. Now we simply have to wait and see when the title will drop, and pray we get some cool physcial goodies alongside it as well.
