Today is Hideo Kojima’s 58th birthday. The Metal Gear Solid and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Death Stranding cr💟eator shared the news on his Twitter account earlier today, noting that his body might be failing him, but his mind remains as sharp as ever.

“Turned 58 years old today, and although my body is failing me, my creativity is not waning yet,” wrote Kojima. “Until my brain loses its creative power, I'll continue to strive to create things. That's my instinct, and that's what I love to do. Thank you.”

Kojima didn’t go into what he meant by his body failing him, but he seems to be holding up pretty well for 58. He noted that he’s the🐠 same age as Brad Pitt, and just a year 💎younger than Tom Cruise.

To celebrate his special day, Kojima was presented with one of his favorite things: a birthday cake. Kojima loves birthdays, even going as far as to include a special "happy birthday" message in each one of his games if you're playing on your birthday (it's why so many of his games ask you to input a birthday). Those messages range from a simple "" message and an icon in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, to the elaborate cutscene in Death Stranding where 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mads Mikk🤪elsen wishes you a happy birthday after you interact with an ex༺tremely detailed 🧔in-game rendering of a delicious chocolate cake.

Sadly, Kojima Productions is a largely remote studio thanks to the pandemic, so there weren't really many people around to help Kojima celebrate. That must be hard for someone who loves birthdays as much as Hideo, so be sure to wish him a happy birthday on social media.
