One of the worst aspects of Destroy All Humans is its dated humor. It, and many other games of this era, were trying to be edgier than Grand Theft Auto. It, and the rest, were essentially parodies of parodies but because they pushed the limits too far, they themselves becꦅam🍒e parodies.
It’s kind of one of those donut holes inside of another donut hole situations like from Knives Out. The point is while the jokes in the game may not work for some, there are some aspects of Destroy All Humans that are worth laughing at namely in meme form. The Internet always finds a way.
10 Obey My GIR
Richard Steven Horvitz plays Pox, the leader of the alien race in the game. Players might also recognize him as the voice of another alien conquerer, Zim, from the titular Invader Zim cartoon. The meme then pokes fun at Pox orderi💧ng Zim’s subordinate GIR around. If only GIR were in this game.
9 Aliens, Hyuck
Another voice talent players might recognize is Bill Farmer. They may not recognize the name, but the voice of Goofy is as clear as day with some of the yokel NPCs. Farmer doesn’t do many things besides his Disney work which is why it sounds so weird hearing his voice in a crude game like this. Also, as for the other joke in this meme, calling aliens little green men is a common practice much to Crypto🍷’s dismay.
8 Mind Bullets
“How 'bout the power to kill a yak from 200 yards away...with mind bullets!” That's telekinesis, Kyle.” That’s the full lyric from Tenacious D’s classic, “Wonderboy.” It fits for this meme because right out of the gate players are given multiple m🍌ind powers to play around with. Crypto can levitate opponents and toss them around the map along with shoot rays from his brain to extract enemy brains. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
7 Signs
M. Nigh🧔t Shyamalan was indeed right for this joke. For those that don’t remember, the aliens in Signs we🔴re weak to water as is Crypto’s race.
Chronologically it could be said that Destroy All Humans copied 🦩the film as it launched in 2005 as opposed to the film’s 2002 date. Having aliens weak to water could date back longer though, but either way the 🦂meme works for a laugh.
6 Geno In Smash
There are multiple instances in the game wherein Crypto has to disguise himself as a politician in order to get the people on his side. It’s sort of like a dialogue tree mini game akin to Mass Effect. Promising the people to put Geno in Super Smash Bros. would be an ▨automatic win for 🔯many politicians talking to a nerdy crowd. Someone should get on the phone with Nintendo to make the political deal of the century.
5 Covered In Nipples
This is actually a line from the game more or less. Right from the start Crypto is disgusted with the planet’s seemingly nipple covered race of cows. Little does he know they’re not the rulers of the planet. Saying a cow is covered in nipples is legitimately funny as it is out of left field. They aren’t literally covered, but the joke in this meme still fits.
4 The PS5
What is the price of the PS5 and when is it coming? For that matter, what’s up with the Xbox Series X? Both companies are seemingly playing a game of chicken and the fans are losing. It’s up to the powers of Crypto in order to investigate what’s really going on. This date is just a guess for this meme’s joke, but it could be close. That’s when Assassin's Creed Valhalla launches.
3 Totally Not Scientology
The plot of this game is eerily similar to Scientology is the meme here. Basically a long time ago Crypto’s people landed on Earth, and mated with humans in some fashion. Since then every human carries a piece of their DNA in their brain. They’ve returned now to reclaim the DNA i🉐n order to build a better alien army. It’s not exactly the same, but it is clos🦂e.
2 Welcome To Erf
This is another joke pertaining to Crypto’s disgust with Earth. He steps in a mud puddle which seemingly is s꧒tep𒀰 one into triggering his blood lust for human destruction.
Crypto must be some kind of neat freak if a little mud bothers him. It꧅’s surprising that this game didn’t use waste as a joke since they go pretty far in other territories.
1 Too Much Content
Remember when Netflix and Hulu were the only legit streaming services in town? Now there is too many services and too many high quality things to watch. There is not enough time and money in the world in order to get to it all. Now, as for this meme, this pertains to a mission wherein Crypto hijacks TV airwaves which eventually explode heads. That’s the f✅eeling people can get being ov🃏erwhelmed by content is the joke then.
