It's a very tongue-in-cheek joke, like most of them that featured in that little countdown window, taking shots at the use of AI and leak culture, but it seems to have unintentionally ignited the ire of Hollow Knight fans something fierce. Take a look down the and you'll find numerous people either disappointed, sad, angry, or an unhealthy mixture of all of the above.
You'll find reactions from people and that the joke was "disrespectful towards the event itself."
