It's time for me to dive into 🍬a classic that I keep hearing about, but never played myself.
Since then, Hollow Knight fans have been on the lookout for any kind of news to do with Silksong, be it a new trailer or even a hint from Team Cherry that something is coming before this Summer's Xbox showcase. Well, as great as it was to imagine Silksong coming out in 2024, it looks like we might be off by a few thousand years.
Looks Like We're Nearly 8,000 Years Away From Silksong
and , Hollow Knight: Silksong's , which includes it finally having a proper release date. Hold on to your insect hats, folks, as Silksong will be upon us on December 30, 9998. Oh.
That's right, you might have thought that Silksong was just a few months from release at the most and likely to be shown at this year's Xbox Showcase, but it turns out that it's going to be an even longer wait. None of us will be alive when it actually ends up releasing, but our ancestors will hopefully enjoy it as much as we all wanted to.
Let's just hope that it's release doesn't contend with Half-Life 3 and the next Jak game, because boy that's going to be a stacked season.
All joking aside, the date that's listed on the Microsoft Apps Store is clearly just a placeholder and not Silksong's actual release date, even if we've been waiting so long by now that it feels like it could be. More importantly, the fact that Silksong even has a listed release date right now does seem to suggest that something has changed behind the scenes and that we're going to find out the actual date very soon.
