The Hong Kong Massacre, a single-player top-down shooter developed and published by Vreski for Microsoft Windows and PS4 in 2019, will be released to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch by Untold Tales on December 26.
The game is inspired by classic John Woo gun fu action films, like A Better Tomorrow, The Killer and Hard Boiled. The Hong Kong Massacre is set in 1992 in Hong Kong and follows a former police detective seeking revenge against the Triad, a Chinese organized crime syndicate, for the death of his partner. Praised for its stylish design and brutal action, the game, revealed through a series of conversations and cutscenes, features 35 levels. At the start of each level, players can select one of four guns, a pistol, rifle, SMG or shotgun. In order to adv♚ance to the next level, thꦆe must wipe out their enemies.
Like in most Hong Kong action films, the shootouts take place ꦅin locations such as abandoned bui🍸ldings, kitchens, back alleys, rooftops and vacant restaurants. Although players will be killed after one shot, the game features slow-motion dodge mechanics that allow players to evade bullets as well as weapon upgrades and 360-degree shooting.
In its overview of the game, Nintendo says, “Blast your way through the streets of Hong Kong in a fast-paced, top-down shooter. Inspired by classic action movies, The Hong Kong Massacre places you at the center of a hard-boiled revenge story, filled with brutal, cinematic shootouts andꦯ vivid underworld locations.”
The reveal trailer shows that the game on Switch will closely resemble the PS4/PC versions. Listed at $20, The Hong Kong Massacre can be preordered for $16. In addition, by signing up for the through the game's websit▨e, players can obtain a free digital copy of the game's soundtrack by Portland-based Professor Kliq.
