You should only have an Energy Regeneration Rate Rope on Argenti if you're not using him with Tingyun or Huohuo.
However, these two units are sort of necessary to make him good💜.
As for the sub-stat, you can look for as much Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK Percent, and SPD as possible.

Argenti's signature Light Cone is, of course, the best in slot for him. He gets a whopping 36 percent Crit DMG and a bunch more DMG based on his Energy with it. However, this is quite a niche Light Cone and might no✅t be usefu♈l with other characters. |

Argenti Trace Priority
When you start building a character in Honkai: Star Rail, one of the most time-consuming and bothersome task is upgrading their Traces. There's a꧑ ton of RNG involved in the materials you get, but even with some goo🎃d luck, it takes a lot of power to upgrade a character's Traces fully. This is especially true for Argenti since you need to upgrade all his abilities.
However, it's important to understand what takes priority unless you pre-farmed for him fully. The first thing you'd want to focus on him is the Ultimate since that's at least 80 percent of his overall DMG. After that, you can upgrade his Ta🤡lent followed by the Skill, and finally the Basic Atta💙ck.
You also have to unlock all his Bonus Abilities whenever you reach the required level, but Generosity is the most important.
This ability gives you some extra Energy whenever a new enemy enters battle, which helps with Argenti's hig🍨h Energy requirement.
