168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Horizon: Forbidden West has a litany of quests and tasks to complete throughout its world, and Breaking Even is a useful but potentially challenging one that can be tackled fairly early on. Throughout the quest, you’ll find lots of materials and resources, and finishing it will unlock a new shortcut through part of the map.
To start Breaking Even, you’ll need to finish the Main Quest ‘The Eye of the Earth’ and unloℱck the mountain base, as, until that point, anything past the mountain range near the east end of the map will be inaccessible. Once that’s done, you can start thﷺe quest at any time.
How To Start Breaking Even
Breaking Even’s quest-giver, Porguf, is located at Camp Nowhere, which is south of the mountain base and east of Hidden Harbor, at the start of the desert area. If you haven’t done this already, there’s a Tallneck directly south of the camp which will reveal more of the map for you.
When you’re ready, talk to Porguf, a money-hungry delver. He’ll tell you about a failed expedition that took pla꧙ce in a nearby secret tunnel, The Spinebreak, and ask you to take a look in there and get it opened for travel (and riches). He also requests you find his lockbox (though this is optional).
Before you head off - if you’ve got some, equip some frost and fire weapons, and stock up on traps - they’ll prove useful for ⛄a certain enemy later. This is a Level 18 quest, so if you’re a bit under-leveled, consider coming back late💟r as it could prove tough otherwise.
The Spinebreak is close by to the east, onl🧸y about 100 metres or sജo away. Head there to get the quest started.
Exploring The Spinebreak
When you’ve reached The Spinebreak, head in and ignite the firegleam tucked behind the truck on the left. In the next room is a small chest and a vent you can open with the pullcaster. Beyond that, there's an injured woman you can talk to. She’ll hint at what attacked her and caused the failed expedition. In the room with her are two more chests and a note concerning a safe you can find later on.
To the right of the note, there’ll be a destroyed bus you can pry open for materials. There are a bunch of vehicles throughout the tunnel you can do this with, so keep an eye out. Continu🃏e past the bus and under some wreckage - there’s a chest on the left and another up ahea꧅d, and more vehicles to pry open between.
Pressing R3 to scan the area with the focus is a good habit to ensure you don't miss resources and valuables.
In the next room will be some enemies - two Burrowers and a Spikesnout. The Burrowers are easy to sneak up on and strike, but watch out for the Spikesnout at the other end of the room. It can call reinforcements if it sees you. It’s weak against plasma if you have tha💝t on hand, and the🎶re are some mushrooms you can shoot for smoke cover.
Once the enemies are t🧜aken care of, look over the room and pick up the resources scattered around. There are some he๊aling materials, chests, and vehicles to pry open (one of these is under the ramp). Use the pullcaster at the top to press on. Aloy will shout about getting out of the next room quickly before it collapses, but more importantly, there’s a chest on the left. Grab that and then you can escape.
Fighting The Rockbreaker
Next up is the real challenge of this quest - a Rockbreaker, potentially the first one you’ve seen to this point if you haven’t done a lot of exploring. To finish the quest you’ve got to take it down. This is what the frost and fire weapons are for - it’s weak to them.
The Rockbreaker's tough, but has a bunch of weak points - scan it with your focus (hold R3) to highlight them.
Watch out for when it digs below the ground. When it does, keep moving fast. It might dive out quickly towards you - be ready to slide/roll out of the way, or use the grapple points. For another attack, it will pop out and shoot a series of flaming rocks that cover the area around it. Sometimes it will jump straight up and back into the ground repeatedly - if you’re quick you can hit it before it disappears.
If you’ve got a valor surge ready, this is as good a time ཧas any. Lay down some traps too, for good measure.
Wrapping Up The Quest
Once the Rockbreaker’s down (remember to loot it!), there are many plants and a few chests around the area, so run all around and grab them. One more hidden chest is on the top of the tall pillar near the eastern side - use a pullcaster to grab it. Another pillar requires a flying mount to access the chest on top. Porguf’s lockbox can be found here too, it’s in the centre of the area next to a cart, near the third 🐎pillar from where you entered.
When you’re done clearing out the place, head to the eastern side tunnel and go under the wreckage. To progress, you’ll need to blow up the barrels in front of you, but first, open the chest nearby and head to the right. There’s a note with a code (2054) and some more loot.
Crawl through the remains of the barrels and there’ll be another room on your right with a locked door. Input the code to open it, and there'll be a safe with some valuables. To the right of the code door, is a wall you can pry open for three more chests.
Head back to the main tunnel and you’ll be greeted with the exit - you’ve now unlocked another way through the mountain range on the map. There’s also a note nearby. With that, all you’ve got to do is go back to Porguf.
You can fast-travel back to Camp Nowhere, or head back through the Rockbreaker arena. Facing the entrance you originally came through, to the left is a rock wall you can climb up for a shortcut back towards Camp Nowhere. Up there is also a metal flower - use the Vine Cutter to get another chest.
Talk to Porguf when you get back, and you’re all done! You’ll get two Skill Points and 5400 EXP.
