Among the many side activities to explore in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Horizon Forbidden West, one of the earliest you'll come across are the Melee Pits. The first one will be introduced to you in Chainscrape, and this will let you dive into the basics of melee combat.
However, there are more Melee Pits out there - each of them with challenges and a master to defeat. Earn their tokens and face the final challenge that awaits: The Enduring. Here's everything you need to know about the Melee Pits.
What Are Melee Pits?

Small arenas in the major settlements, Melee Pits will provide a few services for you to jump into. However, the primary goal is the same - to practice and perfect the skills of melee combat.
The first Melee Pit can be found in Chainscrape, and is not one of the main three. Instead, this one serves as an introduction to what Melee Pits are. The Pit Master will walk you through the basics, and you'll be able to get started immediately.
They will tell you of other Melee Pits - the three main ones in the major settlements. If you complete the challenges of each, you will receive that Pit's token. Earn all three tokens to have the chance of facing The Enduring - the master of all Melee Pits.
Each Melee Pit offers three di🔯fferent services, which you can find out m꧂ore about below.
Melee Pit Locations

Outside of Chainscrape, there are three main Melee Pits you will need to tackle if you wish to earn all of the tokens and face The Enduring. They can be found in the major settlements, as shown in the maps included above - one in Scalding Spear, one in The Bulwark, and one in Thornmarsh.
Once you have earned all of the tokens, you should prepare to face The Enduring - put your practice t♑o use, and be re꧂ady.
How To Defeat The Enduring
When you finally come face to face with The Enduring, you will be in for a tough challenge. Not too much tougher than the Pit Masters themselves, but it's much more of a freeform fight and is fast-paced. Depending on the difficulty you're playing on, you might want to prepare beforehand. Once you have spoken to them, head to the challenge to beg💙in.
The arena is a little bigger this time around and has some smoke jars dotted around. As mentioned, The Enduring is a much faster opponent, so you'll want to be good at dodging attacks and knowing your combos. Here are some tips for fighting The Enduring:
- Make use of the smoke jars - Break them to trigger an area of smoke for a short time. This can be great for stopping a chain of attacks from The Enduring, and for you to take a moment and get in a few attacks of your own.
- Use your bow and keep a distance - The Enduring is quick, and will often close in distance to get some chained attacks on you. As such, dodge away from these attacks and use your bow to get some damage in. However, The Enduring will also then pull out a bow and have some strong attacks that can stun Aloy, so this is not a viable strategy for the entire fight.
- Use chained combos, but don't get greedy - After completing each Melee Pit, you should be familiar with the combos you have available. Use these to chain attacks and keep The Enduring from being able to attack. However, if you repeat the same attacks and combos, and don't take time between them, then The Enduring can put a stop to them and get some attacks in while you're not expecting it.
As long a♑s you follow these tips and keep everything in moderation, The Enduring battle should be rela♑tively straightforward. Make sure to stay in control of the battle, and know where The Enduring is at all times.
What Do You Get For Defeating The Enduring?
After you beat each of the Melee Pits and face down The Enduring, you will receive a permanent upgrade to your Spear damage. You will also recei🐲ve some experience and skill points.
Afterwards, you can still return to have another battle with The Enduring at any time. This is great if you want to face the challenge again, or if you want to practice some more skills agܫainst a more formidable opponent.
