Being a first-party title from Sony, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Horizon Forbidden West is an open-world game with a heavy emphasis on its narrative. The visuals, performances, and voice acting are all at the top of thei🌼r respective games to deliver moments intended to stick with you for a long time.
The game has been out for a while, which gives players the chance to look back at Aloy's journey to find GAIA in the Forbidden West and discover more about how her past can influence the future of the world. As such, there are plenty of emotional and heartwarming moments along the way that will tug at your feelings.
10 ⛄ 🌜 Healing The Land God
Once the Forbidden West begins to open up, Aloy finds herself in the Utaru village. This area was 🎃created around a series of satellite dishes.🐎 The Utaru tribe, much like the other factions in the game, is in touch with its spiritual side by worshiping machines that they call Land Gods.
However, their Land God was sick, and they continually prayed to heal it. When Aloy arrives, she uses her Focus to discover the faulty component and fixes it. What results is a tender moment where we're in awe of a powerful machine instead of running away from it.
9 🎃 Taking Varl On The Journey ཧ
Many of Horizon Forbidden West's cast return from the previous game. At the start, Aloy leaves Meridian on her own to begin the next leg of her journey. After being by herself for months, Varl shows up, revealing he had been tracking her the entire time.
Despite being reluctant to take anyone else along, Aloy not only welcomes Varl, but gives him his own focus. What was once a character relegated to side quests in the first game suddenly has a lot of rapid discoveries about the world. He also turns to be a loyal friend, making Aloy's journey seem less lonely.
8 🔜 𒊎 Talking With HADES
HADES was the AI primary antagonist of Horizon Zero Dawn. That gameဣ ended, revealing that Sylens had secretly contained it because it had more information locked away. This comes to a head in the first act of Forbidden West, where Aloy has the chance to talk one-on-one with HADES.
While it's not heartwarming in the traditional sense, there's something cathartic about seeing Aloy struggle against this machine for so long only for it to be so easily subdued with little resistance. The way it speaks to her is also in a manner of respect, contrary to the cold cadence it had previously.
7 ♔ Meeting GAIA
GAIA was the AI architect of the world after it was destroyed by the Faro plague. Unfortunately, complicati🔯ons meant that, after GAIA created Aloy, it would not be around to teach her what she needed to know about the world and her ancestry.
Because of this, when Aloy finally acquires a new version of GAIA and restores her, it's a tender moment. Aloy finally gets to converse with what is ostensibly her mother. She and GAIA share a close bond despite the latter technically being a machine.
6 B💦uilding Kotallo A New Arm
Kotallo is the last character to join Aloy's group in Horizon Forbidden West. He was a battle-hardened Tenakth general who had lost his arm in the ambush at the start of the game. After Aloy welcomes him to her crew, you unlock a side quest where you can collect the components to build him a new arm.
Kotallo is a closed off character, but seeing sparks of his emotions peek through once he gains his mechanical arm is quite moving. What's more is that he ends up realizing that he didn't need the arm, bringing his character arc to a satisfying close.
5 Aloy Recalling Rost To Beta 🍌
Despite being born from the same DNA, Aloy and Beta couldn't be more different. When trying to figure out how they were so disparate, Aloy realizes that she had something that her counterpart did not: Rost.
Rost was essentially Aloy's father from the first game, someone who taught her how to fight, hunt, and use every piece of the land to her advantage. His death sparked Aloy's lust for vengeance, but it was his teachings that gave her the skills and confidence she needed to save the world. Seeing her recall how important he was moved Beta, and likely the players too.
4 Beta Giving You Th🗹e Flight Override
🍸 Unlike Aloy, Beta had a lot of fear when it came to standing up to those who would seek to do her harm. With a lot of help and counsel from Aloy, though, she eventually learned to overcome her trepidation and help in the good fightꦰ.
This culminates in her finding and giving Aloy the override that enabled her to fly through the air. It was a tender moment between sisters that also served as a perfect segue into the final act of the🌺 game.
3 🐻 ⛦ Mourning Varl
Varl is one of the earliest characters you meet in the Horizon gamesꦡ. After he joins you, we see him grow into a wise and loyal companion. He even forms a relationship with Zo from the Utaru tribe. That makes it all the more tragic when he meets his end defending Aloy and Beta from the Far Zenith.
Aloy can then share moments with her other friends about how great Varl was. What 𓃲makes it harder is that, before she enacts her vengeance on the Far Zenith, she insists on burying Varl first.
2 🦩 Talanah And Aloy Emb🦹race
Those who completed the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hunter's Lodge quest in Horizon Zero Dawn will remember Talanah, the girl who would become the Sunhawk. She returns in Horizon Forb♏idden West, looking for a fellow named Amadis.
It turns out that Amadis came to the Forbidden West in search of his late wife, Nessa, for some closure. After this꧑ quest is complete, Aloy figures out that Talanah has feelings for Amadis. and they speak for a while. Grateful, Talanah embraces Aloy, ♉as friends, no longer as the apprentice and mentor relationship of the first game.
1 🔥 Sylens Stays On Earthꦯ
At the end of Horizon Forbidden West, it's revealed that a hostile program called Nemesis is heading to Earth seeking to destroy it. Everyone has a limited amount of time before a technological Armageddon happens once more.
Sylens is about to leave on the Far Zenith's ship to get as far away from Nemesis as possible, but through talking with Aloy, reconsiders. Despite only serving his own interests in the series, Sylens finally makes a choice that gives humanity the best chance it has at survival.
