With the announcement of the upcoming PlayStation 5 also came the reveal of may games that would be coming to the console. A few standouts were the sequel to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ratchet and Clank remake and yet another port of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Grand Theft Auto V, but one of the biggest reveals was no doubt the long-awaited follow up to 2017's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Horizon Zero Dawn, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Horizon Forbidden West.
Aside from the draw of the unique world players dove into as the badass Aloy, what really gripped players and kept them engaged w✃ere the many unique machines that each required a different approach to takedown. As Aloy couldn't simply muscle through them, it made for some whole enjoyable fights with a few in particular, which fans are excited to face off against once again, but others are less enjoyable and can be left in the ruins of Colorado where they belong.
10 Want To See: Stride🦩r 𓆉
The quintessential mount for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Horizon, thes🐈e mechanical horses can be found pretty much everywhere. While the Broadhead and Charger a⛦re arguably better in terms of offensive presence, the Strider is the first beast Aloy ever recruits with her spear upgrade.
One even stays with her through to the end of the game, as she is seen riding a Strider to the resting place of🌠 Dr. Sobek after finally coming out victorious over HADES.
9 Don't Want꧂ To See: Grazer
There are a good handful of ridable ma𝓰chines that Aloy can choose from, one of the few that doesn't make a lot of sense is the Grazer. While they are a great source of Blaze, having four containers on their back per unit, that's about all they are good for and provide little in the w🗹ay of a challenge in combat.
The only time they really serve a🐽s a threat is if the herd decides to stampede in Aloy's direction, though they will usually choose to run away if spooked instead.
8 🍎 Want To Sꩲee: Sawtooth
The first new machine Aloy faces against is also one of the best in terms of usability and combat challenge. If players can 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:override this monstrosity of a sabertooth tiger, t🎉hey will have a powerful ally on their hands for any tough battles ahe🌺ad.
What would really make the Sawtooth a memorable return, however, is if players are given the option to ride one into battle like they would a Strider or Charger, though that seems unlikely. As far as returning machines go, it would be wholly disappointing for the Sawtooth to not return in Forbidden West.
7 Don't Want To See: Scrapper 👍
As one of the lower-level challenges, alongside the likes of the Watchers, the Scrappers provide a good learning opportunity for new players of Horizon. It t🐟eaches them the importance of planning ahead and strategizing against an enemy that won't fall to a๊ simple arrow in the face.
However, this all goes out the window when players can simply hit it with a heavy spear attack to knock it down, then kill it with a swift 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:critical stab prompt. From then on, they just become a nuisance that is best run away from🍎 rather than fought, as they don't pro🎐vide any meaningful loot either.
6 🌱 Want To See: Tallneck
As a moving control point of sorts, these massive beasts were a fun distraction while wandering the wilds of Colorado and had the added bonus of sending out an EMP when overridden. This🌜 causes any machine unfortunate enough to be walking in the vicinity🐓 of it to be instantly destroyed.
While it might be weird for this exact model to return in Forbidden West, a new variant of the same des🅘ign would be a welcome return.
5 Don't Want To See𓃲: Shell-Walker
The Shell-Walker was a good idea in theory: A walking loot box caravan that was high risk, high reward for any players willing to take on not only the beast itself but also its bodyguards. While it made for a great change of pace and challenge before playe𝔍rs were ready to take on the likes of the Stormbirds or Thunderjaws, the loot it carried never really made it worth fighting more than a handful of times.
Not only that, but its container was so easy to accidentally destroy that often times players would come out with nothing gained. Even using 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tearblast to separate it from the Shell-Walker's back would just leave it out in the open for a rogue charge attack t♈o destroy.
4 🍒 Wa💛nt To See: Stormbird
One of the three "big bad" machines, the Stormbirds were unique not just for the way players had to engage with them, but also the many methods in 🍬which it could be brought down to spear whacking level. From Shock arrows to Ropecasters, if Aloy could reach the Stormbird with it, she could use it to bring the beast down.
While there will certainly be more of these harder machines introduced in Forbidden West, this is one enem꧟y fans would no doubt like to see return in the sequel🐷.
3 Don't Want To See: Glinthawk ඣ
The Stormbird may be a welcome challenge for higher-level players, but the Glinthawk flocks are nothing but an annoyance for Aloy, particularly in that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one Hunting Ground that haunts many a fan's nightmares. As they are often found on mountain ranges and peaks, dodging their dive bombs becomes incredibly diffꦕicult unless players manage to lure them to a more open area.
Even then, there's a good chance dodging one will send Aloy careening into another that has just started its windup for a dive. Not only that, but their swift movements make it much hard to tie thꦬem down with the Ropecaster or zap them with a War Bow.
2 ꦆ 𝄹 Want To See: Thunderjaw
Arguably the mascot for Zero Dawn was the biggest and baddest of all of the machines, the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Thunderjaw. While it looks terrifying, and the sheer number of attached weapons can make it a giant pain to defeat, those weapons are also a double-edged sword. With the right tools, Aloy can simply tear off those wea💦pons, pick them up, and destroy the beast with a few well-placed rounds into its side🤡s.
The Thunderjaw also made a few key appearances throughout the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:side stories, with multiple needing to be defeated for the Hunters Lodge, including Redmaw and the boss battle in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cauldron ZETA, giving it a solid🃏 reason to appear in any future titles.
1 Don't Want To See: Deathbringer ꦕ
While it wa🧸s only fought a handful of times during the main game, including in the final battle with HADES, the Deathbringer was one of the least impressive of the old world machi🥀nes.
The Corruptors have the ability to turn machines to their side, and the Metal Devils loom over their resting places ominously, but the Deathbringer🌺s are just walking tanks with an annoying amount of armor and firepower. Although this does make them a decent challenge, they are 🐻nowhere near as fun to fight as the Thunderjaws or Stormbirds.
