The game has sold over 10 million copies since its launch in February of 2017 and, if it actually becomes available for PC, wil☂l mark a first for Sony where PS4 exclusives are co🔴ncerned.
Horizon is an open-world game set in a timeline in which the United States is being overrun by robot dinosaurs. Sony-owned Guerrilla Games is responsible for its development and the title remains a chief example of the company's success on the software front. According to , a PC listing appeared on the French version of online retailer Amazꦫon's website this week.
Sony previously revealed it was willing to consider releasing first-party titles to other platforms in order to reach a wider audience. The statement was made by former Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden following news of the company's intention to purchase 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Spider-Man creators Insomniac Games.
“We must support the PlayStation platform - that is nonnꦰegotiable,” he said in the August 2019 interview. “That said, you will see in the future some titles coming out of my♔ collection of studios which may need to lean into a wider installed base.”
Layden stepped down from his position in October afte𝓀r spending 30 years🐬 with Sony.
As for Horizon Zero Dawn, it's been reported the game will become available on Steam and the Epic Games Store t🌊his year. The information is understood to have come from three individuals who are "familiar🌄 with Sony's plans."
Said sources did not reveal th📖eir identities as they were not given permission to speak to any media outlets in relation to those plans.
Meanwhile, the has since been removed and attempts to view it are being met with a message reading "We are sorry. The web address you entered is not a functi🌜onal page ꦦof our site." (in French, of course)
