The first game in the series, The House Of The Dead, was first released in♚ Japanese arcades in 1996 with an internationaꦅl release in 1997. It was later ported to the Sega Saturn and PC. The House Of The Dead is set in 1998, and has AMS agents Thomas Rogan and G investigate a mansion belonging to Dr. Curien. A genetic engineer and former Research Director of DBR Corporation, he weirdly enough had no known first name.
It's interesting that The House Of The Dead was released in Japan around six months after the first 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil, as both are horror g🔯ames 🌠that involve investigating a mansion.
5 ༺ T🍃he House Of The Dead 2
First released in arcades in 1998 and later ported to the Sega Dreamcast, PC, and the Nintendo Wii, The House Of The Dead🧜 2 takes place in the year 2000 and has AMS𒅌 agents James Taylor and Gary Stewart investigating an outbreak in a nameless Italian city.
This time, the game's villain is Caleb Goldman, a genetic engineer and CEO of an unnamed financial group who had funded Curien's experiments in the previous game. Goldman sought to continue these experiments due to humanity 'disturbing the life cycle of nature,' creating more creatures to infest the world.
4 🔴 The House Of The Dead 4
First released in arcades in 2005 and ported to PlayStation 3 seven years later, The House Of The Dead 4 takes place in 2003, 16 years before the events of The House Of The Dead 3. Returning AMS ⭕agent James Taylor teams up with new character and fellow AMS agent Kate Green.
They find out that some of the late Goldman's destructive plans are coming to fruition. The House Of The Dead 4 is allegedly the first light gun arcade game with a widescreen, high-definition display, and also has toned-down violence compared to its predecessors.
3 🉐 The H🦂ouse Of The Dead 4 Special
The House Of The Dead 4 Special is not an enhanced edition of the original House Of The Dead 4, but instead takes place directly afterwards. It was first released in arcades in 2006 and later included with the PlayStation 3 port of The House Of The Dead 4. Special once again stars AMS age𓃲nt Kate Green, this time alongside𝔍 G, as they search for the source of the Creature infestation.
The original version of The House Of The💙 Dead 4 Special is an immersive experience featuring separate screens in front of and behind the players, and a seat that rotates between them.
2 The House Ofಞ The Dead: Scarlet Dawn
Released exclusively in arcades in 2018, The House Of The Dead:ꩵ Scarlet Dawn is set three years after The House Of The Dead 4, in 2006.
Scarlet Dawn once again features Kate Green — this time, she teams up with Ryan Taylor, younger brother of Kate's former partner, the now-deceased James Taylor. The pair investigate a mysterious estate known as The Scarecrow Manor.
Scarlet Dawn was the first new game in🥀 the series since The House Of The Dead 4 Special, ending a 12-year hiatus. Scarlet Dawn is also the second-shortest game in the series, with the first being the original House Of The Dead.

First released in arcades in 2002 and later ported to PC, Xbox, Nintendo Wii, and PlayStation 3, The House Of The Dead 3 takes place in 2019 and is the first game in the series to feature a post-apocalyptic setting. This puts it at the end of the series' timeline.
The House Of The Dead 3 has Agent G teaming up with Thomas Rogan's daughter Lisa to investigate the EFI Research Facility, and her father's disappearance. The research facility itself may also be the source of what caused the apocalypse, and is affiliated with the DBR Corporation from the first game.
