The Final Fantasy franchise has used four powerful bosses with elemental themes since the first game in the series, which is something that has also been used a lot in . Final Fantasy IV had its own set of iconic elemental villains in the𒈔 form of the Archfiends, and these can easily be used as bosses in 𝕴a Dungeons & Dragons campaign.

The fourth and final member of the Archfiends is Rubicante, the Autarch of Flame. Rubicante is a strange character, as it oversees the destruction of Elban and the murder of its citizens, yet he is extremely honorable when it comes to combat, to the point that he will heal the party in order to ensure a fair fig🍷ht. Rubicante is a high-level opponent and would make for an excellent final foe for a campaign, especially if the party has faced the other Archfiends over the course of the story.

Rubicante is a general who oversees the destruction of an entire kingdom. He is a valiant combatant who has no problem leading from the front or planning strategy from the back. The party should be given a glimpse of Rubicante's strength from a distance before he departs for his base. If the party can cut their way through Rubicante's guardians, then tꦓhey will find a willing opponent who wants to fight his enemies at their peak. Rubicante is a powerful boss, but his code of honor will prevent him from crushing weakened opponents. Once the party is ready, he will gladly face them on the field of combat and prove his worth as a warrior.

Rubicante starts the battle by striking nearby enemies with Inferno. Outside of this, his moves are self-explanatory. Rubicante is a physical powerhouse who relishes battle and will gleefully laugh throughout what could be his final fight.
