The Broken Ghost storyline in has been keeping us entertained for the last couple of weeks with the new PvE game mode, as well as the new storyline. While the gamepla♛y can be a bit repetitive, the unfolding storyline is giving more depth to the characters. There are hints of alliances and grudges forming between them.
As usual, you get to choose your character. On the character select screen, you can see the default loadout for🧸 the mission, including a Hemlock with purple attachments, and a Mastiff with a purple bolt. You also get a purple shield and a purple backpack. This loadout seems decent until you land in King's Canyon and find out that you can't use them.
You land just outside the Water Treatment Plant and find yourself in Revenant's Ghost mode. You have to use your super speed and strength to break into the various buildings in the area and destroy all the Revenant totems. Luckily the totems are all marked, so they are easy to find, but there are hordes of prowlers after you, so you have to be careful.🅠 It's easier if you use Revenant's climbing ability to try and stay on top of buildings, and try to deal with the prowlers one at a time. As soon as you've destroyed the last totem, your weapons become available.
You now have to move to the main Water Treatment Plant to hunt for the artifact. This time you can shoot any prowlers on the way and pick up more loot. When you get to the sp🐻ot marked on the map, you can plant the artifact drill and fight the waves of prowlers while you wait. Once it's complete, you have one minute to make it to the dropship, which will obviously have more prowlers around it.
Upon completion of the mission, you get a text-only cutscene entitled "The Liberated Narc." It starts with Octane having a date with the Hammond legal officer, Yoko. He then gets pulled into the void and ends up in M🐷irage's bar. Revenant mentions that there's a mole amongst the legends and has a war of words with Loba. He then retreats when Bloodhound, Bangalore, and Gibraltar arrive. Bangalore ignores Revenant and sends Octane back to Yoko to get more information about Loba. Octane disobeys the order and instead goes to search for Loba's artifact.
