Quarantine has led to some rather creative solutions to my gaming needs. As someone working from home, I find myself spending almost my entire day at my desk. I work at my desk, take lunch at my desk, and at the end of the day, play games at my desk. It's 🌃become difficult to draw healthy boundaries between work and personal time (a problem accentuated by the fact that I often play video games for a living) and, frankly, I'm just getting pretty tired of sitting at my desk all day every day.

While searching for ways to stay connected and play my games without having to sit at my desk, I've discovered that its possible to play almost every game I own on my android phone. That includes my PS4, Xbox One, my entire Steam library, and much more. There isn't a solution for every game that exists (there's no suitable way 🔯to access Game Pass For PC on a phone, for example) but the apps and processes I outline here have some serious advantages. Specifically: the ability to play all of my games anywhere I want, including in bed, on the couch, in the bathroom...you get the pict😼ure.

So if quarantine's got you al🍌l cooped💞 up and looking for ways to change the way you game, here are all the ways to play your games on your phone.

What You'll Need

Most of these solutions are wifi-dependant, meaning you'll need to be on the same network as your PC, X🧸box, or PlayStation. There are some streaming options as well, but the libraries are fairly limited and you'll need an unlimited data🐈 plan if you going to use them off wifi.

A controller is an absolute must if you want to have a worthwhile experience, and the controller you use will dictate what you can play. It largely comes down to preference, as devices like the Stadia controller and the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:SteelSeries Stratus Duo will work with every app —except PlayStation and Xbox. If you're primarily planning on playing PS4 or Xbox One, only a DualShock 4 an Xbox One controller will be compatible. On top of that, you'll need a special mount to attach your phone to your controller and each one will only work with 1 specific controller. To keep things simple: stick with either🎃 an Xbox or PlayStation controller if you're mainly playing console games. For everything else, either the Stadia controller or the Stratus Duo. I prefer the Stadia controller simply because the mount holds the phone out in front of the controller rather than above it.

Stadia

If you haven't heard, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Stadia is free for anyone to try. It's a great service with a terribly small library,🍌 but as new games get added all the time the value continues to go up. The benefit of Stadia is that you don't need to download or install any of the games and they can be played on any device, including Android phones.

Stadia will work with a wide range of controllers on mobile, so whatever you've go𓆉t should work fine. Currently, the Stadia controller needs to be plugged into your phone in order t🎶o work. I'm a 1-foot USB-C cable and a Power Support CLAW with my Stadia Controller on my Pixel 4 XL and it's actually my favorite configuration I've tried. My hands and controllers are hidden behind the screen and the CLAW brings the screen closer to my face. It isn't adjustable but I prefer this phone mount to any other.

Stadia has a small library but the service works really well (if your internet is fast enough) and I enjoy jumping right 🤪into my games without needing to worry about storage space or installs.

Nvidia Geforce Now

Our other streaming service, Geforce Now, is free for 1-hour sessions or $5/month for unlimited access. Once again, every controller I've tested works with the GeForce Now (including my beloved 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Scuf Vantage 2) wꦯith a simple Bluetooth pair, so pick y𒁃our poison.

Geforce Now will let you stream games in their library that you also own. There are about 600 games available on Geforce Now and about 90% of them are on Steam, meaning if you own the game on a different platform you won't have access to it through Geforce Now. The list is overwhelmingly non-AAA. Of my 500 Steam games, only about 80 were available on Geforce Now. They al⛎so need to be added to your Geforce Now library manually throღugh a long, arduous process.

But, these were games I already own, and I now I can pla𓆉y all🌞 80 of them anywhere I want on any device, including my android phone. The service is even more reliable than Stadia in my experience and opens the door to a lot more games.

If you want 🔯acc♏ess to your entire Steam library on your phone, here it is. Unlike Stadia and Geforce Now, Steam Link simply mirrors from your PC to your phone. This means you'll need each game installed and running on your PC, and you'll need to be on the same network for Steam Link to work.

Steam Link doesn't offer the freedom that ꦫa true streaming service does, but it does give you access to all of your steam games. It works well with every controller I tested provided you enable support for that specific controller in the Steam settings.

PS4 Remote Play

Ps4 operates exactly like Steam Link, in that it mirror🍷s your PS4 to your phone. The app will only work with a Dualshock 4 controller, not even Scuf Vantage 2 will work for this. The experience isn't quite as smooth as the other options here, but it's thꦗe only way to play PS4 on your phone, so it's good enough.

Xbox Game Streaming

The Xbox Game Streaming app is the Xbox equivalent to PS4 Remote Play with one major difference: it can also stream Project xCloud. If you have applied and been grant𒁏ed access to the service, then you'll have full access to game streaming from your ph♛one. The Xbox Game Streaming app requires an Xbox One controller.

Between these 5 apps, you wil﷽l have access to 99.9% of your game library. 🎃The hardest part now is choosing which controller to use.
