The Pokemon franchise is designed around single-player experiences and PVP multiplayer battles. It's not built for the group party dynamics of a game like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dungeons & Dragons, but th🐓e monsters from Pokemon can still be used as enemies for parties to face. To this en🍌d, we have statted out the Magikarp line for use in D&D adventures.
Magikarp is similar to Slowpoke, in that it has earned a huge fanbase for its derpiness. It's hard to hate Magikarp for its shortcomings, especially when it evolves into something so powerful. The Pokemon Company even released "The Magikarp Song", which talks about how much the fans♌ love it. The gimmick of Magikarp is that it's the weakest Pokemon in the game until it reaches level 20, where it can evolve into the mighty Gyarados. The derp fish transforms into the nightmare sea serpent, as Gyarados is said to be one of the most vicious Pokemon in existence. The concept for Magikarp comes from the legend of a carp swimming up and leaping over a waterfall, which transforms it into a powerful dragon. This has led to speculation that Dragonite was meant to be the original evolution for the Magikarp line, but no evidence for this theory exists, even in the leaked betas for Pokemon Red &a﷽mp; Green.
Magikarp's Stats
There are few creatures weaker than the Flumph in the Dungeons & Dragons multiverse, but a Magikarp might be the one creature that would lose against it in a scrap. Magikarp are just fish with red & golden scales, that swim around with a blank expression on their face. Unfortunately for M♑agikarp, the one thing they're good at is being delicious, which leads to them being hunted by animals and fishermen alike. The only reason the species has survived for so long is their capa🌱city for mass-breeding, and for the terrible sea serpents that guard their territory.
Gyarados Stats
A Magikarp is unable to ever win experience in battle, but it's said that there are some who have survived numerous close-encounters with death. If a Magikarp is able to avoid the clutches of its hunters for long enough, then the memories of the ancient creature it is descended from will emerge, and it will undergo a terrible transformation. The red and gold scales will peel away, as a blue body erupts from the useless form that it was before. The Magikarp will transform into a Gyarados, and it will destroy any hunter that enters its pat🐈h.
There are many maps that warn of the sea serpents, and those warnings were left by sailors who survived their encounter with a Gyarados. There are many ships that are prepared to deal with lizardmen and sahuagin, but few can withstand a beam of pure energy that can cut a hole through an entire vessel. Fortunately for most fishermen, the Gyarados tend to patrol the areas🅠 inhabited by Magikarp, and they don't stray too close to land.
