While there aren't many maps available, they are quite different from one another, and they're large enough to allow for plenty of different encounters each time you play. But, which of these maps are the best to play on?

3 💦 Stillwater Bayou

Good For Starting Players

The first map 🃏released with the game, and often the one that you wil𝔍l get to know best early on. Stillwater Bayou offers a good number of wild open spaces as well as buildings that allow for tight corners and ambushes. One of the big things that sets this map apart from the rest is the amount of water you have to cross.

Most of the north and west of the map are filled with water, as well as the furthest southeast corner. This means crossing the map will often take longer than you think, and starting off in either the southeast or northwest will be loud and slow-going. You'll also need to keep an eye out for Water Devils and enemy hunters when you're around Alain & Son's or Catfish Grove. Places like Reynard Mill & Lumber and Davant Ranch are veritable fortresses that can be well-defended when you're defending a bounty in one of those areas.

If you're new to the game, this will be the best one to get used to the different types of gameplay. The drawback is that the long-term players will have a pretty solid memory of the various paths around the map, so you may have a hard time outrunning more advanced players.

There's a good number of long and short-range areas to get into skirmishes in, which means there's no range of weapons that stands out above the rest. There are a few prominent locations like Fort Carmick and Lawson Station that apply a good amount of verticalness to them and make powerful defensive or scouting spots. One of the more interesting elements of this map is the common hints at the Civil War. The Fort, ammunition storage ♚are🌠as, and even trenches and scouting towers throughout the map show that the area is still living with the scars left over from the war.

Equipment can be easil🌞y forgotten, but it's crucial to surviving the swamps of Hunt: Showdown.

The compounds in this map are overall larger and less spaced out than in Stillwater, which means medium to close-ranged weapons will have an edge from time to time, and it will take some preparation to get a weapon with a long-ran𓂃ged scope setup at a place where you can do maximum damage. With less water and empty space that comes with it, a🐻ction happens more often.

Those dreaded water de🅷vils are also less common. Small victories.

1 DeSalle

More Verticality, More Options

DeSalle is the third map added by the developers, and overall you can see the growth that those who had a hand in making the map have had. Design-wise, there's a somewhat circular aspect to the map's layout, especially where compounds and waterways are concerned. This map is the least aquatic setting, but the small streams and rivers are still more than likely to have 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:loud ducks or Water Devils around to hamper you.

This is also the map with the shortest space between many of the compounds where bounties are located. After you leave the spawn points at the edge of the map, the vegetation and buildings are practically one after another. Sh⭕ort and medium-range weaponry has an edge here. But, this map has the most vertical spac🎐es than any of the other maps. The upper levels of DeSalle proper, Pearl Plantation, and the Pelican Island Prison all make for great sniper nests.

You often have to be on the lookout for enemy hunters around and above you at all times. Upper and Lower DeDalle proper are great places to live out your favorite Western fantasies. There's even a saloon with those classic swinging doors. Lore-wise, there's the mix of religion seen in the Bayou and the war seen in the Delta, with some additional living and working spaces that make DeSalle feel more like a rural township than on the other maps. Altogether, it feels like there was more time put into this map when it comes to dynamic and balanced play and having fun.
