Icarus is a new session-based survival game that tasks the player with surviving on the harsh world of Icarus. While on the planet, you will deal with many forces — including inclement weather, aggressive animals, and a dangerous atmosphere. When you first arrive, you will have a full oxygen tank. But as time goes on, the amount of oxygen inside 𓄧will begin to dwindle.

In this guide, we are going to go over how to get more oxygen. It's a pretty simple process, but it can be confusing if you have never refilled your oxygen meter before. First, let's take a quick look at where to find your current level of oxygen.

Checking Current Oxygen Levels

Oxygen levels will be displayed at the bottom lefthand corner of your screen. This will be next to the meters foꦍr🌳 health, hunger, and thirst as well.

You can also view your current oxygen level by opening the menu and looking at your character inventory. In the image above, you can see the current oxygen le🌞vel, as well as the percentage of oxygen remaining.

Finding Oxite

To replenish your oxygen, you first need to find oxite. This is a light blue rock that can be found throughout the planet. With a pickaxe in hand, you will be able to mine the oxite as you would with normal rocks. Doing so will cause the oxite to slowly deteriorate as you gather more in your inventory. You can also find smaller oxite rocks on the ground that can be picked up.

Turning Oxite Into Oxygen

Now that you have oxite, it's time to turn it into oxygen. The simplest way to do this is to place the oxite ore directly into the spot next to the oxygen meter within your inventory. The oxygen within the oxite will be slowly🍰 added to your oxygen tank, gradually refilling it.

One oxite ore will grant you nine oxygen, so to refill completely, you will need 11 oxite ore. Fortunately, oxite is very easy to find so this shouldn't be a problem. Replenishing your oxygen like this is great if you are on the go, but there is a more stationary way to get oxygen as well.

Once you unlock the blueprint for the oxidizer on the tech tree, you will have a more efficient way to process oxite into oxygen. The oxidizer is a simple device that allows you to insert oxite, which will convert to oxygen and fill up the balloon on top. To replenish your own oxygen, all you need to do is interact with the balloon. Doing this will cause your oxygen meter to fill.

This is a great item to have in a temporary base, as you won't need to worry about mining and placing the oxygen in your tank manually. Below, you can check out the materials needed to craft the oxidizer.

  • 8 Sticks
  • 12 Fiber
  • 20 Leather
  • 10 Bone

That's all there is to know about getting more oxygen. Oxite can be found everywhere and is a very useful item to have in your inventory. Next time you pass this blue ore, don't forget to start mining!
